App Package Updated!

Again i have created a app package, this time it works with the 0926 & 0927 Firmware!

The reason why i made this, is to show people a easy way instead of searching for different apps for 5 days including testing, downloading etc.

Until now i have little chinese app and almost everything translated to english!
First i want to thank people for developing and/or translating and/or doing some good stuff for meizume!

There are some things that I still don't like:
1. Ugly icons, mostly because of the lack of pixels.
2. Programs placed in the rom, i want that replaced in the disk.
3. Resizing icons for M8dock(sometimes M8Dock displays to large icons, so large that you can not see other icons, problems with netassist and pedometer)

Most usefull in this app package:

1. Almost every application is inside cab WITH an icon, i converted many exe files with matching .png icons to make cabs for it.
2. Icon displayed on desktop is often showed as @?&^, because of the chinese name, all the icons have good english names
3. Not some random location of icons, i gave every app a place so your won't have to relocate icons! Hope you like it, otherwise you know how to change it yourself!
4. A script to install all the apps the app package contains(GAPI not included).
5. The perfect all-in-one package for beginners that just got themselves a meizu M8!

This app package is updated with another route66 with cab installer and icon

Change log:
1. Minesweeper: I got a english working cab installer ready for the next update.
2. Added some other programs such as: Treasure Box, Suspend Assistant, Speedtest, SMSpass, M8Cash, MPTest.
3. Deleted enWinCE, it seems that it is not necessary.
4. Deleted Age of Empires, tested it and it does not work that great
5. Deleted MBrowser, it seems useless. You can't do anything more than you can with ucweb, opera or explorer from wince.
6. Deleted Fingermark, useless to me. Just a fun app with no use at all.
7. Deleted 3D CS, controls are to hard, i don't think anybody will use it.
8. I made a script that installs everything!! (GAPI is not in the script, seems that i dont need it since every game works without the GAPI installation, probably because gapi is included in one of the games)
9. Finished the update for Meizu M8 App Package(updated 28-08-2009) + uploaded it to rapidshare and mediafire.
10. Added new SuspendAssistent, SwitchLang, new M8Snake and StartMenu Translations by Razorgaming and rori, thanks guys!
11. Added HandwriteNotes(translated by rori!) and updated to the new M8Dock(thanks to fineday/archon).
12. Added a finishing sound to the script and a little text to explain.
13. Added M8Currency with Cab.

In order to get the script running, you need to have the map 'Meizu M8 App Package(updated 28-08-2009)' DIRECTLY INTO THE ROOT OF THE M8 OR ELSE THE SCRIPT WON'T RUN.
Location of the script must be: \Disk\Meizu M8 App Package(updated 28-08-2009)\Total install script\Install.exe
Click on the Install.exe and it is going to install all the apps(GAPI not included) that i included! You will hear a sound when its done It will take about 15 min (I tested 14 min and 43 sec) If you have any questions, just ask me!

Two questions. Can you tell us what aps are in there, because we might already have most of them, and can someone upload the file to rapidshare, as mediafire is blocked in china (at least in shanghai)

Info about Diverse Apps:

16MView: watch photo's with the full potential of the 16M screen.

BarCodeScanner: can read qr,dm and barcodes, tested it myself, barcodes didn't work, but qr and dm did.

CoolView Lite: another photoviewer, dont expect to much, its very laggy.

DesktopM: english app, you can created, delete, edit, hide icons, very useful app

DesktopSystem&Explorer: creates a system and explorer icon on your desktop.

DesktopWiFi&BT: creates a wifi and bluetooth on/off icon, it is not just a icon, it is a program!

Dice: its all in its name

Filescanner: search your M8 for files with a certain name.

Fingermark: a app so you can unlock your phone with your fingerprint, it does not read your fingerprint, but it can read your fingersize and measures the pressure, not really useful in my opinion, but you can give it a go.

Flashlight: your screen gets all white and you can use your phone as a little flashlight in the dark.

FlvShow: Watch youtube on your M8, in chinese (waiting for the english translation)

FreePen: like paint, very tiny app, you cant save anything, its in beta.

Gapi: Needed for many games, MUST INSTALL!

M8Cash: you can add what you earned or what you lost with buying stuff etc. If you like to keep a record of your money, than this is the app for you!

M8Cracker: another way to crack wifi and edge, you can also use m8sprite.(i prefer m8sprite since you dont need to restart the m8 after cracking)

M8Dock: another great release by fineday! with a nice and smooth interface. It opens a side bar to quickly open apps, first you have to add them as an icon/program location and name. You can add folders and programs. Really Cool App! Recommended to install! Search meizume for updates.

M8LedEMu: emulates a led screen.

M8Paint: Draw on your M8 with various colours.(just like paint in windows)

M8Pedometer: You can go jogging with your M8, it will check your speed.(not precisely, but it gives a global estimation)

M8Profile: Different profiles for your M8, in english, you can adjust 5 profiles for the volume for sms/call ringtones. You can also select mp3's as ringtones. Best application in my opinion!

M8RTM: another gesture program, for its function, its best to read the thread on meizume forum! you can basically make a certain movement to open a certain program.

M8Sprite: app to modify your M8, such as settings, very handy! Recommendation! You can also quickly crack wifi and edge without a restart!

Maintain(also called fixed shift or anyoperator): You can edit your providername on your desktop and you can set some gestures, like tapping on the battery to open M8Dock or tapping the time to open task manager. I recommend to try! It is really useful.

Mbar Maps: best google earth/maps app available. search function and english.

MBrowser: another browser, not as good as opera or ucweb in my opinion, try to see if you like it.

Metronome: it can make a sound as a mertonome for an instrument. you can adjust the speed and so on...

MoDesktop2: You can create a moving desktop by having a video as desktop.

MPTest: if your M8 is not functioning well, you can start this application and go through some test to see if everything is right.

MTrack: Certain app to track down where you are, not sure how to use it though...

MusicRay: You can play drums on your M8, pick a song and drum on the beat.

NetAssist: open the exe file on your pc and install the cab on the M8, you open the app, click connect and you can use your M8 as a mouse to steer the cursor. It is funny! WIFI REQUIRED!!! Ask on meizume if you are facing problems!

OFFICE2008: sort of office(word-ppt-excel), unfortunately the keyboard does not work automatically, you have to set it manually(look on the forum how to do that).

PlutoPDF:Best pdf reader out there, not laggy in my opinion and its more than good for just viewing pdf files.

PocketRAR: Very nice zip or rar extracter, you can also create zips or rars, very nice program!

Regeditor: its all in the name.

ScheduleTask: you can schedule a task for the M8, for example to open m8sprite on 7 pm etc.

Signaltest: Test your signal.

SMSpass: create a password for your messages so you can protect your private stuff.

Suspend Assistant: Quick launch for viewing cpu usage, memory usage, you can lock your screen, shut down or restart etc. just check out if you like it.

Speedtest: test the writing speed it guess, i don't use it, maybe some do.

TCPMP: i mainly use it for radio webstreaming since it can open asx files! WARNING: if installed--> go to settings-->file associations and unassociate all the file types with TCPMP, once it is associated with TCPMP, your musicplayer can no longer read playlists(which i use A LOT!) and some other annoying stuff will certainly happen:P other from that, i love TCPMP!

Treasure Box: You can download applications from M8fans with this app You can select categories such as games, tools for pc.

Touchpal: a different keyboard to use, many say that it does not work in opera, but it sure is better than the current crappy keyboard.

UCWEB: a fast good working browser which is very, very useful! Install and find out how fast it is! Look on the forum to get it working with wifi.

UltraG: basically a little Photoshop on your M8.

ZWFlasplayer: Flash player, doesnt do anything in webbrowsers, only a stand-alone flash player.(runs lots of touch-based flash 7.0 games)

LVL, you are the best! I appreciate all the hard work and look forward to downloading this after I upgrade to 0927 which I am doing now. Can you show Chinese only by the apps that are not translated. That will greatly assist folks like me that can only speak English. Also, would like to know which apps don't work with 0927.

No thanks, but everybody needs to know that its far from perfect, i have something that i really want to integrate.

In the future i want to try to create a batch file/script for the M8 so people won't have to press every single file, but just one file that installs about every program

The biggest reason why i did this is that i know every day new people subscribe to meizume, i want to give them the full package so they wont have to download everything manually, just one file, one effort, one package.

At the moment i still want:
1. Better icons
2. More programs
3. More chinese apps translated to english
4. a lot more

I will be creating a change log to, look for it in the first post

I think you can just create one cab file which contains all the programs...takes some time to do but it's possible I've seen a lots of these at the chinese forum.

I tested it with the 0926 FW, so you must have done something wrong.....

I was thinking that to, but there are also apps that create a file association, and i don't know how to implement such a thing, i tryd it with pocketrar, but i failed....

Weird, I installed Age of Empire cab, then installed GAPI. Found the .exe of Age of Empire and clicked it but nothing happens. Is there a special way to load the game?
