USB Root anyone?
Hi there, been a little bit since I wrote here.
Some time back there was a talk of trying to get the M8 to have the USB Hub / root Hub.
This would enable us to connect external hard drive to the M8 Mini USB and be able to use it for storage/retrieval of data.
This capability would have enormous benefits, media could be stored on the External HD and accesses thru the USB Port....
I am thinking, Half of the issue is already resolved as there is USB support in the M8, but it is one way, if there is a programmer out there who can figure out how to get that to work that would be wonderful....
Any thoughts...

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostAlso USB keyboard functionality would be nice. I've got a fold up keyboard that plugs in to mini USB from a UMPC. Would sure beat the buggy keyboards we have at the moment.

Thanked 14 Times in 5 PostsI already thought about that a few months ago...
I wrote some Emails with a meizu-employee and he said that the M8 hasn't USB-Host-Capabilities. So it's not a software problem but a hardware thing.
Hope you understand what I want to express ^^ My english isn't the best today
