Yea, one has to use the Wlan_crack...

If I remember correctly, you can't directly restore a backup from 1.3.3 when using 1.3.8. Maybe if you move some files around it's possible, but I didn't try it. All your previous Sprite backups disappear after 1.3.8 installation.

They do not disappear - Sprite 1.3.8 installes itself in a new programs>tools folder. The backups are still with 1.3.3 install folder which is in the programs folder or Program Files folder.

Most likely. I made a mess at the time and ended with the whole drive being reformatted and lost all my data, including phone numbers. Learnt my lesson that day about not keeping a copy of my backup on my PC. On reformatting I lost all backups that were still on phone's disk.
