Skype is going to be open source, so perhaps we have skype for meizu soon

That would be great to have it again.

If i understand correctly from the source(including the comments), the protocol part(libs) will remain closed. the open part is the UI only.
So, probably no luck for M8

but it will be possible for third party clients to use a closed lib of the protocol part

hmm, that´s bad one of the most important apps....what a pitty!

I think u don't understand what I'm saying.. what I'm saying is.. you can use the skype protocol.. and build a graphical user interface around it on virtually any platform.. but u can not modify the existing protocol (which, in this case, doesn't rlly matter)
so.. that means it should be possible to port skype to the meizu

I also would like to have Skype, it’s one of the most important programs I think. Is anybody able to write a program or at least find some way how to use it? Would be great!
