Thanked 9 Times in 5 PostsYes, M8 Weather needs to be 'registered' for 6rmb, and is, like most weather apps available, mainly for Chinese cities. I am not sure you will find many cities outside China for which they will provide weather updates.
I am using Kaixin Weather which is ok. Not as flashy as M8 Weather. But same as for the others, it's only in Chinese and although I found New York and London, there was no Paris (all through Chinese characters input).
If my understanding is correct, and the post content (see post 12 of link) is really from J Wong, then Meizu will later include a free weather forecast software. But he also mentioned that future applications (2010 onwards) might not be free.
