Thanked 6 Times in 4 PostsPossible to choose Skin?
Has anyone successfully applied a skin?
The Skin option is grayed out in my iGo v8.3.
I Changed the Igo "Tomtom" Skin to fit the M8 resolution, so it would be great if i could actually use it

There is no U.S. Map! Do you know where we can get a U.S. map?

Argh! I just can't get it runnig... Anybody else having this "POI MANAGER INIT" problem where the meizu stucks and you have to take the battery out to reanimate the phone? Some advices for me? I'm getting more and more desperate. Tried it with the russian version and with the 8.3.4. Still nothing. Also without everything nit needed (pois and things like that) but still nothing. And just today my Jentro GPS receiver arrived.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have the exact same problem... Tried the russian version and another version I have (that's running NP on my HTC Touch), tried replacing DATA.zip and the sys file, nothing works. Just like yours, my phone hangs on POI MANAGER INIT every time and I have to reset it ghetto style (by taking out the battery - and removing the M8battery cover is F*CKIN' hard).
Oh well... I guess it's InoGO for me
(don't really care though, since I'll just use one of my other WinMo devices for navigation)

Haha, good one

It's good to know that I'm not the only one with this. Hope anybody can help.
One thing: It's not that difficult to pull off the battery case: Place your thumb at the downside and lay the other four fingers on the case (as flat as possible) and pull... and click: It's open. Easy goin

Finally got it working. Dont know what the point was but I first deleted all of my programs on the disk and then downgraded to 0.9.2.6 (was on 0.9.3.3) and now it works.

Thanked 6 Times in 4 PostsI am running it on 0.9.3.3 without problems... Maybe one of your POI files is corrupted / incorrect?

Thanked 138 Times in 53 PostsHad the POI problem too, just delete anything POI related and start _from the explorer_ not from filemanager. Worked for me.
But my gps is connecting and disconnecting all the time (a sirf III chip)
another of my gpses works good, but the gps is shit :D
The sirf gps works with other programs, so i think its not the meizu FW but igo8 wich has the problems. will try route66

Thanked 4 Times in 4 PostsIf you want to use it as a navigation system you need a BT GPS receiver. If you only want to have it as a map you dont need anything else.

Thanked 6 Times in 4 PostsJust like mentioned in the post above, you can plan a route, check the map.
For the M8 to receive your current location you need a Bluetooth GPS device. (Available beginning at around 30 Euro)
WIFI is of no use with this software. You can use MbarMaps for maps on internet: MbarMaps
