Keyboard while using apps
Hi,
So I was wondering if there is a way to force the keyboard to show while running an app. In Softmaker Office for example, the keyboard does not show up when you select an area to type in - which sort of makes the suite a reader suite rather than an office suite. Or do the programs need to be specifically programmed for the M8?

You most likely have to edit the app using the SDK to show the keyboard. I don't own an M8 so sorry that I can not be of more help to you.
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

Link this is Softmaker Office with button to show/hide kb. You must extract it to Disk\Programs\SoftMaker2k8 , and run not textmaker.exe or planmaker.exe, but with showkb_tm.exe and showkb_pm.exe. If you want to change interface language, you may download full package from softmaker site and replace *.dwr files.

Originally it works only with the Micron Touch keyboard - Microinvest Web Oasis , all coordinates of keyboard made for it... So you must install it, if you want to use this program (it can switch between EN/RU layouts)... I don't test this program with the default keyboard, because it hasn't russian layout
