    Yes you do. We would already have done it, if it was that simple

    Open the UCWEB.col file with notepad, you will see:
    [运行参数]
    运行程序=\Disk\Program Files\UCWEB\UCWEB.exe
    命令行参数=
    运行目录=\Disk\Program Files\UCWEB
    显示模式=2
    显示方向=1
    飞行模式=0
    禁止锁屏=0
    开启蓝牙=0
    开启WIFI=0
    开启GPRS=1

    I guess change the '0' into a '1' would activate the wifi.

    lamar69, you can't download opera which will work on M8... However the built-in web browser is a customised version of Opera

    Try upgrading to the latest firmware if you don't have it installed yet.

    UcWeb on Wifi- Works WONDERFULLY

    Guys, I have been using the UCweb ever since this post gave me the english version.
    The issue I have is, originally I got the whole context menu when I presses on a pic, now it is not there, I have tested all the settings, obviously I am missing something.
    So if someone knows how to get the full context mane let ma mknoiw.
    Second is, reading here I thought the UCWeb did not work with WiFi....
    IT DOES.

    This is what I did.
    Enable the Wifi
    Then, in Sprite, add the col extension to the txt opening association.
    This way now I can open the .col file in the UCWeb in on board text reader.
    Tap on the settings, enable edit.
    In the WIFI, change from 0 to 1
    Save..
    Restart the phone
    make sure wifi is up and running
    tap on the 34KB file in the UCWeb folder, not the 1MB file.
    This will open UCweb, it will take some time to configure itself...

    It is really fast, I downloaded a 467KB file in 1/5 of a sec.

    So if you tested this and found it not working... test again.
    Make sure you are not trying to run the browser from the 1MB file but a 34KB file with the same name in the same folder.
