Also the add/remove doesn't work for me cause i don't get any option for uninstall.. check my picture in an earlier post... Thanks.
M8>documents>device>windows>control.exe>3rd icon from the left>select application u want to uninstall then press the button below the list.

this is the forum for the Meizu M8 and other meizu models. M8 used to be called minione, but not anymore. here you wont find answers for your question, becasue meizu doesnt have a phone thats similar to the touch diamond. if the brand is minione, then you should search for a minione forum, im sure you will find your answers there.
i cant see neither of ur photos.

You bought a fake HTC Touch. This has nothing to do with Meizu M8. Sorry.

It's really the same for every applications...either you have a cab file or an exe
Sorry if this sounds "stupid" but what if I don't have a .cap file???

    For example:

    CE6.0FoxitReader.exe

Where and how do I install those .exe files??? Do I just run them on my PC or the phone ???
Sorry, I have absolutely no experience with this

You should be able to run it from the meizu M8 filebrowser, just tap it and it should run. Go to the folder in which you placed it and just tap it. The gamepack that you can download here somewhere works in the same way. Exe files can be launched directly, cab files needs to be installed first

    .cab file installation

    Hello All,
I was reading this thread on how to install apps on M8, and downloaded some applications. One was the M8Cracker, that was an exe and that went really quick, it did its job and that was it... now the .cab files... following the instructions I placed it into a folder on the M8, tapped it... but nothing happens... let me correct that.. when I tap it, some window opens real quick and then goes away.... in one of the last posts in this thread a friend stated that the .exe can be installed as it is and there is something that needs to be done for the .cab files... can someone please explain... what exactly needs to be done to install apps that come as cab files...
    Thanks

the .exe is exactly where you stated it is, but the problem I see is that it is in Chinese, and even though there are icons... one would have to take a leap of faith tapping onsomething...
And remember... this is all based on WINDOWS... Bill Gates did not become a Zillionair.. by just making a very stable product...

So a question here.. if One does screw up something and the phone is trying to become a brick... is there a way to bring it back to factory settings and defaults...????
    Appreciate any help...

To install apps that come as '.cab' files, you simply just put them in any folder, I usually put them in the 'Disk' folder. Then on your phone, just go to where they are located and tap them. They install automatically where they need to, and usually put an icon on the desktop that will link to the program.

If you screw something up, or want to restore the phone back to a, somewhat, original state there are two ways to go.

    1. restart/power off the phone. Then press and hold the power key and the M button at the same time until you see: resetting the registries...

This way will reset to factory settings so will therefore lock wifi again and change the language back to default Chinese. To get it back to English simply, tap settings > more > 3rd option > English > back > restart phone

    2. The second option is to reinstall your firmware by using one of the firmware updates/install files.

Again it may put your settings back to locked wifi and default Chinese, so just follow the settings from above

    Tails2,
    I really appreciate your help...
I am relieved to know that if there is a screw up... I have a chance to get back to working... Thanks for the tip on that...
Now coming to the CAB installation, well I have tried to install the IE, The Shut/Restart button , Gmail, GMaps... all of these are in CAB format, and as the phone is win CE based these were for the OS... but like I said before... I tap on the cab file... something happens... a window appears for a split second and disappears... nothing after that... there are no icons or anything I can see on the desktop indicating it installed....what am I missing....

On the same note... try this Web browser.. go to www.skyfire.com... this is in Beta... but they have a big claim to fame... it is ment for Win CE... so should work... but like everything else...it is also in CAB format...and I cannot install it.....
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong????

Those CAB files are not Windows CE compatible so...you cannot install them on the M8.
