    [Download] International Keyboard for NewUi

    Hello non-chinese MeizuMe Community!

I've got some really big to tell you: In cooperation with me Loonix transformed the Finger Keyboard v2.1 to an international NewUi Keyboard. I don't did very much! I only made the graphical revision, he did the really important things which are working no in the background of the keyboard.

    Warning:
Those who have an Russian DAO Mod Firmware can not bring the old keyboard back without repugrade the firmware.

    Languages:
The Keyboard supports German, (of course) English, Norwegian, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Russian, Greek and Dutch

    Preparation:
    • You will need NetCF 3.5,
    • a newUi Firmware,
    • if you want to use the keyboard in Opera the Opera Fix and
    • the .cab FingerKeyboard File

    Installation:
The installation is really easy but please check if you have done all the things listed in "Preparation". Only put the .cab onto your newUi Firmware Meizu M8 and start it. When it stops installing, reboot the phone and use your new multilingual keyboard.

    Remove the Keyboard:
This tutorial is only for those who don't have an DAO Mod Firmware.
Open your M8Sprite (v1.3.8) up and go to "System Settings". Now hit "Input Method" and mark Plumsib.dll as standart. Restart the phone and you have the original keyboard back.

    Screenshots:
    Download:
If there are big mistakes in installation or something like that please post them, so I can fix them and to warn other users!

    Greets,
    Greckoe

Thank you Greckoe for giving the keyboard an overhaul!
We should also mention that you need NET_CF 3.5 to use this Keyboard.
Also if you want to use it in the Webbrowser you need to install 'Opera Columber Fix 986' or higher (Thank you Columber from meizu-m8.ru for the fix!)
And last but not least if you want the original keyboard back you can use M8 Sprite to restore PlumSip until the next boot.

//edit: sometimes you have to pat your own back but this time i wanted to thank you mainly
    Good work!

I will edit this into the startpost, thanks Loonix.

Edit:// How do you mean, restore with M8Sprite? There is only the option "Input method settings" in my M8Sprite, but even there only FingeKeyb.dll is listed. And I'm usin 9.8.9 Russian Mod and the Keyboard works in Opera.

    ah.
The dao firmwares allow to uninstall the default keyboard and install FingerKeyboard as default instead.
Also in the dao firmwares you can install the Columber fix by default.
So these additions to the installation procedere are mainly for users of the official (or leaked) firmwares that did not pass the powerful hands of dao89.
so, if you have the default keyboard our FingerKeyboard will not uninstall it, just put it from the driver seat to the rear bench ^^

What's the difference between this keyboard and the one you released a couple of weeks ago, Loonix?

This is just like the one before a adapted FingerKeyboard skin.
this version is opical improved (it uses better transparencys, optimized key layout and blends better into the UI of the M8)
It does not support a dictionary but if the M8 offers completion of a word (like when chosing a contact to sent a message to from the adress book or when inputing a known web adress).

there will be a 1.1 soon that fixes a few quirks we found too late.

andreim does your keyboard come with a .cab installer, a link to the configuration, eight language layouts and a 95% accurate emulation of the original keyboard? ^^

I have to admit the numeric keypad looks good but i think too many functions per key are too cramped.
you can get to the numbers by pressing one key and then you have numbers and common special keys. that is very useful for passwords where you cant see later if you lingered a second too long and accidentialy pressed 1 instead of q.
Also you can deactivate all the languages you do not need via the config that is liked to the desktop.

@Jeritsitas i offered before to make a greek keypad if you tell me what characters you need and where you expect them on the keyboard.
it is easiest if you just jype over each line of your keyboard once and add the special characters that are not reachable by pessing just one key for you.

    if i cant copy/paste them.
But since you are at the source Greckoe we are saved :D
