Music recognition

One of the apps I like for the Iphone is music recognition. I think there is also a bird sound recognition app. Does a similar app exists for the M8?

First you need to have music base, like iTunes probably

but isn't there an open library or something? where u can send a request to, from the application..

I might 've found something...
Gracenote: Mobile MusicID

I will look into it a bit more...
but as far as I can see now...
you are able to send a .wav file to a server
and within 10 seconds you get a utf8 encoded text file with info back..

probably there are costs to use the service.
so if people want this app badly enough to pay for it..
then that would be an option

Im not sure if you can get this working on the m8

they have an sdk written in c++
so that means we can write our own program build on there system

so... well... this is what's going on...

So upon researching the possibilities for audio recognition I came across Mobile MusicID
which looks like a really appealing option

I was wondering,
as a developer... what are the costs attached to using this service?

Forward the reply to Meizu marketing. You can find them at ÷È×å¿Æ¼¼ | Ê×Ò³. Tell them this is something we are all interested in as M8 owners.

what will they be able to do?

or do u mean that we'll ask meizu to initiate the development?

well... I c that there's not a lot of interest, so.. I'm not going to bother trying

I hope they would as i really miss this feature off my old walkman phones

No, Meizu is already overwhelmed with software development. If they could work with these guys to add music recognition then it would upgrade the M8. Why not get their marketing folks to look into it? It is a value added feature.
