Is there a way to avoid the customs taxes when you ship in France.

I am not answering on behalf of JTC, but as I do also live in Europe (Germany). I don't think there is a secure way of avoiding the import taxes... but you could be lucky with declaring the item as a gift with a rather low price. (but not too low, because the dudes checking these packets at the frontier know these tricks)

how cold I say this....don't you worry about customs.
I live in the EU and I didn't pay a cent. Buy with confidence. :-)

(in general you don't pay if the declared value is low enough or it's a gift)

can you base this on anything else than personal experience? 'cuz a friend of mine ordered something from HK and even due to it being marked as gift, it was opened, checked for it's value and he had to pay taxes...

but I wouldn't worry much either... :D
