I meant from just regular playback without batman, from the mencoder batch file i used.

See, before without me bumping the volume in my batch file, I found I had to crank it up to 20 or 30... with my tweak in my batch file, I could listen at 8 or 9... I like to listen to music at 8 or 9 as well, because of the eq settings I use.

I'll try the new batman out here in a couple mins. i was just saying why i had created my batch file before.

I receive a message "unable to abort the system shutdown as no shutdown is in progress" or something when I run it.

EDIT: nvm it goes away, I was just impatient... but it shows this before going to the options.

BTW, does batman remember the last custom setting? that seems like a natural thing to do, since you want to have it as streamlined and quick as possible. I haven't finished my first test yet so I don't know if it does.

that was a message only in Vista I think (XP is quiet about that). Now BatMan will only abort the shutdown process if really one happens. After BatMan has initiated a shutdown, you will receive this message once after rebooting. It is hard to tell if the shutdown was successful or not, and my priority is : don't leave a user helpless
- custom profile settings are saved now. Just press Enter to recall them.

As many people have already noticed, movies on the Meizu sometimes look rough and have artifacts. Why is that ? The Meizu increases contrast in a non-differentiated way. Everything becomes more visible, even things you don't want to see. Compare your video to what it looks like when you play it in Windows Media Player and you see the difference.
I have worked on different ways to make dark areas less noisy and thus reducing pixelizing, and can finally bring you the results of that. Black becomes really black by this method. This also increases compressability resulting in better overall image quality.

So I took the same video input as the other competitors and passed it through BatMan's Q5 profile. Watch the result on your Meizu M6, not on your PC : http://www.jonske.com/down/BatMan_Q5...ur_trailer.avi

You can reproduce that any time, it's not a trick :D

The effect can be invoked with the special command "darker", and combined with any other effect.
Happy testing ! Don't use this option with very dark movies since the effect is quite extreme yet ! Lighter versions of "darker" will follow soon ..

I'm glad you noticed this! I noticed it when I would ffw and rew videos, that they looked crisper and with better contrast, but then when they would play, they would be washed out. Gonna give it a whirl here in just a bit.

Oh, another thought... for the custom profile, can you make it save "special commands"?

The darker seems a little too dark, as you said it might, so I'm going to hold off using it for now, but I agree it's definitely a step in the right direction.

Z <Enter> schaltet zwischen den Zoom-Modi um. Oben siehst du, welchen du gerade eingeschaltet hast. Der, den du haben willst, hei&#223;t "Full Screen".
Ist &#252;brigens in der Hilfe, die du mit "?" aufrufen kannst, unter "FAQ 2.3" genau beschrieben (allerdings auf englisch).

Ich hatte 2 wirkliche Problemvideos, die sich durch nichts &#252;berreden lie&#223;en zu spielen oder zu spulen. Mit repair gehen jetzt beide. Erfordert einen zus&#228;tzlichen Durchgang, und ist deswegen nicht standardm&#228;&#223;ig aktiviert.

darker2 is just about perfect in my opinion. The repair works well too. I had a dvdrip that needed repair in virtual dub, now I can skip it and use batman.

What type of files will repair work on? I have a wmv file I've had no luck converting with either Loli or Batman and thought I'd try a repair with Batman.

Technically with all videos but DVD/VOB. But I have had no damaged .wmv video yet, so I can't say much about it. You'll have to try.
Of course repair can't circumvent any DRM protection.
