GPRS or EDGE?

Hi guys... I wanna go to my service provider here in Taiwan [台湾 大哥大], so i can use my phone for the internet and mail. My provider offers GPRS service, but I cant see anything about Edge.

What I want to know is if GPRS and Edge are the same thing..(from what I read they offer different transfer rates).

The reason is that I used M8Sprite to 'crack Edge', but in the Meizu Settings, I can only see GPRS as an option to connect...

So if my provider offers me Edge, can I use it to connect, and how to connect to edge when there is no option in the Settings page.

Should I ask for Edge or GPRS?

There seem to be 2 variants of both transfer methods:
GPRS Down: ~80.0kbit/s, Up: ~20.0kbit/s, (Class 8 & 10 and CS-4)
GPRS Down: ~60.0kbit/s, Up: ~40.0kbit/s, (Class 10 and CS-4)
EGPRS (EDGE) Down ~236.8kbit/s, Up: ~59.2kbit/s, (Class 8, 10 and MCS-9)
EGPRS (EDGE) Down ~177.6kbit/s, Up: ~118.4kbit/s, (Class 10 and MCS-9)

1. Do you have the version with Wifi?
2. Check if your provider has EDGE in its network services.
3. Make sure you crack EDGE.
4. Go to your network provider site and search for the gprs/edge settings and type it in the settings boxes on the M8.
