Hi,
I have lot's of mp3 without tag's, only filenames build like artist-title. When is use mediamonkey (with id3 v1 + v2 labeling) and set the filenames to tags the tag's are set and also recognized on my computer.
When i copy the file to M8, the artist tag fields stay empty.
When i manually update the fields on M8 and copy them back to the computer the fields are changed (the same fields as i change with mediamonkey).
Why does the M8 not recognize the automatic changed files ?
Thanks.

Thanked 11 Times in 6 PostsI don't have problems with MediaMonkey and the tags. It could be that your music files are protected in some way ? Just guessing. Are you synchronizing your music via MediaMonkey, or do you copy the files manually over to the M8 disk?

Thanked 11 Times in 6 PostsHmm.. Can you check if your music files has been tagged, or if it's just MediaMonkey that "remembers" which music files has which tags, if you understand :P
Go to properties on your music files and check the information on the "details" tab. Does it comply with the tags you are using in MediaMonkey?
One more thing - Are your music files in MP3 format?
