    MP3 tag's

    Hi,

I have lot's of mp3 without tag's, only filenames build like artist-title. When is use mediamonkey (with id3 v1 + v2 labeling) and set the filenames to tags the tag's are set and also recognized on my computer.

When i copy the file to M8, the artist tag fields stay empty.

When i manually update the fields on M8 and copy them back to the computer the fields are changed (the same fields as i change with mediamonkey).

Why does the M8 not recognize the automatic changed files ?

    Thanks.

I don't have problems with MediaMonkey and the tags. It could be that your music files are protected in some way ? Just guessing. Are you synchronizing your music via MediaMonkey, or do you copy the files manually over to the M8 disk?

Hmm.. Can you check if your music files has been tagged, or if it's just MediaMonkey that "remembers" which music files has which tags, if you understand :P
Go to properties on your music files and check the information on the "details" tab. Does it comply with the tags you are using in MediaMonkey?

One more thing - Are your music files in MP3 format?
