I don't know if this problem is only on my m8. I tried to play a 800mb video file with .avi extension, the video playback is not smooth not the same with the meizu video ad. The sound and picture quality is fine only the video has a lagging frame rate. Do I need to install another software on my m8 to make the video playback run smooth? Do I need to convert first the video file format? Do you have any video converter for the m8? I'm still running the original fw, 0.9.0.5, do I have to upgrade to a latest fw? The video runs fine on my laptop...

Thanked 1 Time in 1 PostYour laptop can run it smoothly because it can run settings which are way better than that. You should convert them into Mp4.Heres my settings that i'hve posted on someone thread not long ago.
Here, these are the settings that i used for my videos.
Frame Size: 720*480
Video Codec:H264
Video Bitrate:100k
Framerate:30 Fps
Audio Codec: AAC
Audio Bitrate: 320
Sample Rate: 48000
Audio Channel: 2
The quality is very good but the space is kinda big.

Thanked 2 Times in 2 PostsI was using 0.9.0.5 when I first got my M8 and I had trouble even synching media files from windows media from my PC. The avi files wouldn't play on my M8. I upgraded the firmware to 0.9.2.7 and all of a sudden no problems synching media avi files and they play flawlessly on my M8. The best thing I have ever done is upgrading the phone to 0.9.2.7. It is working so well I don't want to upgrade to the new 0.9.3.7 firmware.
BTW, the avi files I was talking about were music videos that would play with windows media player. I translated some youtube video files so they would play on my pc then simply synched them to my phone and they worked great. I used WinFF to convert them to avi files.
If you record video with your phone you can download KMPlayer to watch them on your PC. Works great with M8 videos.Last edited by Ranchdawg; 10-08-2009 at 09:46 PM.

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsI don't use the preset 'M8 video convert' tool.
I just use wmv file formats, it seems that they run really smoothly om the M8
Just play with the settings and you will find out the right settings
