Play mp4 videos?

Hi

I have downloaded two videos from youtube and vimeo as .mp4-files. Now, my M8 cannot play them. When I update the video-playlist, it recognizes them, but does not show them in the menu (where the Meizu-ad is). When I start the video, it says "Part of the stream is not supported", then I hear the audio but see no video. On the vlc-player the videos run perfectly. Does anyone happen to know what's wrong?

I see in vlc that there are two streams in the video:
stream 0: video, 640x352, FPS 25, codec avc1
stream 1: audio, 44100 Hz, codec mp4a

Frame Size: 720*480
Video Codec:H264
Video Bitrate:100k
Framerate:30 Fps
Audio Codec: AAC
Audio Bitrate: 320
Sample Rate: 48000
Audio Channel: 2

The quality is very good but the space is kinda big.

As far as i know the downloaded video files are also in .mp4 format and i can watch them without problems on my M8
