I bought my m8 last august 2009 and gave it to my girl. up until now the phone is still on its original software. Until I saw this site and I started to appreciate the capability of the m8. I saw some cool apps that I wanted to install on m8. I am planning to upgrade it first to the latest firmware and right now I trying to know the installation steps.
My specs:
m8 = firmware version 0.9.0.5
laptop = xp pro(updated) and activesync 4.5 (english)
I tried to copy some large file to my m8 like movies, 800mb, .avi.. but it seems it will hang-up when the synchronization starts. What do you think is the problem? Please advise thank you...

I think using synchronization would just limit the file size transfered in accordance to the ROM size available. I was able to download movies, 800mb - .avi, and other large files...
