SMS Blocking

I notice that the M8 has a blacklisting option for numbers and was wondering if this function also blacklists SMS messages from the same number... want to blacklist my provider from sending me useless advertising.

Has anyone successfully blocked both calls and SMS from a given number [I read somewhere that the blacklist wasnt blocking SMS from a blacklisted number]... might I have to use the different formats [adding the +country code] as well as the regular number to block both calls and messages?

Just wondering if anyone has successfully blocked both call and SMS and any tips that they could give.

PS. There is also an option in the 'Messages/Setting' menu called Reject Anonymous SMS ... does anyone know how this functions. I assume that it blocks all incoming SMS other than those in your Contact List... not sure though.

I haven't tried either of them but i would assume by rejecting anonymous SMS's you would block all unknown numbers.

Maybe try changing the number to this then blacklisting it as it's the only way I have been able to have 1 number stored and still have full caller i.d.

You have to do this via outlook then sync it back to your phone.
