M8 Doesn't turn on anymore

Yesterday evening i plugged my M8 in the USB port of my computer. This morning i was not able to turn it on anymore, I took out the battery and retryed, but it doesn't work. Does anyone have a idea what that could be about?

Try to recharge battery. I had my camera plugged in USB overnight and battery was dry in the morning.

It happened some time. Try to change the USB port or even PC.
Check that USB charge is ON...otherwise plug Meizu to the Power Plug.

if i understood you correctly you allready tried without the battery but hooked up to usb of your pc...and still this did not worked...right?

try this
restart pc...always good to start with..when windows is started
insert battery in m8 and plug in the usb cable..listen for the windows sound when conncted via usb..if there is no sound...chances are very high your divice is dead

otherwise youre lucky...and the charging process should start..

My device also didn't start correctly... I did a registry reset and now it's working again...

It still does not turn on, but when i connect it to the USB port and put it cloesly to my ear I can hear a sound like beep beep or something, hard to explain...

Whatever i can not make a registry reset, since the M8 does not turn on anymore...

This sound is just the electronic buzz from the m8 it self, so it is operating/charging clearly.

But if tried everything in the above part it could be that your device is dead.
Maybe the best thing to do is contact meizu helpdesk?

Your battery could be dead.
If you charge your M8, does the screen turn on and do you see the charging animation?
If not, check your usb port with another device.

If you are sure that it works, then your device is dead.

Thanks for your help, but the battery is ok as it tested it with an Voltmeter and messured something close to 4V. So it should be fully charged...

So even if you try to charge it, nothing like a battery animation starts?

Nothing happens when i press the power button, but as said, i checked the battery with a voltmeter and it's fully charged...

I think it is a really sad and strang story you are experiencing for the moment
I know that overcharging a device is not that good idea,
but i rarely saw a device get broken this way.

You could deattach the battery for while 24~48 hours or longer) ..
just an idea ?

So what will you do return for repairs i guess?

I will try to return the device, but unfortunatelly i bought it at Ebay, so i have to send it to MEIZU directly. And as im not speaking a word of chinese it will be verry difficult...
Does anyone of you have experience with returning a M8 to Meizu??

well.. mine is halfway europe and china towards my reseller for now.
You will need to contact meizu on the email address(es) provided on there site and forum.
Just explain your issue and they will inform you.
but they point out that you need to send it to the reseller (stupid but hey..)
so try to contact that one to.

If e-mail fails try to make a call to meizu
(i will be doing this to in the coming days)

But do not forget the coming days are holidays in china ánd shipping it back will take much time.

You won't believe!! This morning i decides to give the M8 another try, i put in the battery and pushed the power on button, and it was working like a charm. Then I turned it on and off serveral times and it worked like there never was a problem... at the moment im charging the Battery, and this is working also...

glad to hear that tostenger.... it seems more and more like our M8s definately have their own personalities.. that must be a relief as its horriible to think about having to return it for repairs!

I am having the same problem with my M8. It inexplicably died today while sitting on my desk. Minutes earlier I had tried altering the GPRS settings and I placed it on the desktop, then it died. I have tried plugging it into the charger and my PC, but to no avail. I will try removing the battery for a while as testenger did, althought that means a struggle to remove the back cover.

I have heard of this issue before and consequently I am coming to the opinion that the M8 is flawed in a number of ways compared to the European competition (also made in China probably). I really wish I had paid a bit more for an iphone and unlocked it myself.
