My M8 doesn't receive SMS

Hey guys,

Sometimes (70% of the last 2 weeks) my phone doesn't receive messages via SMS. I end up getting days worth of text's come in like 2 days late and all at the same time. I can send SMS and make and receive calls normally.

Has anyone had the same problem or know how to fix this?

Had it for both .9.2.7 & .9.3.3

No not at all. I can still send SMS and make and receive calls so no.

i have the same problem

i can send messages fine, however some peoples texts take longer to come through, like you said a couple of days.

its weird as i can text my Girlfriend back and forth no problem, but if someone texts me who i havent spoken to in a while, sometimes i will get it late or never get it!

i thought it was my network but iv never experienced this problem with my other phones

i have set up my numbers properly with + and country code

Here's hoping that someone switched on gets the same problem so hopefully it can be fixed.

It's sad but i am glad someone else has got the same problem. Was scared that it was a fault with my phone. I know the network is fine because just as you said other phones work fine here too.

I have the same problem, 'glad' to hear someone else has it too.

I've tried a few things :

- sending messages to myself to trick the phone into receiving new messages
- making a backup & restoring it
- restarting the phone
- switching to flightmode & back

None seem to really help, it's just like my phone suddenly decides it's ready to receive again.

No service issues though, I'm able to call & send messages as usual.

My sms service number is filled in, so that's not the problem as well.

Any thoughts ?

I have/had the same propblem, didn't receive any sms in the last couple of days.. I had to go to SIM Manager ->Load Message in SIM, then I sudently got 8 new sms.. Maybe it helps for you aswell, although I don't know if I know have to refresh the sim all the time, maybe I have too many SMS on my phone...
