Display protection foil

Hai!
I have a quetion according to my display protection foil.
On my m8 there is such a foil on, since i bought it. Is this correct? i can see it at the edges.
Is it possible to change this foil with n ew one (because i got scratches innit)?
i gently tried to pull it off, but it isnt that easy as expected so i thought id ask before ripping it off.
Has anybody changed the foil already and can give some tips?

I don't remember my M8 having this foil, but maybe it is that standard protection foil that applications with screens usually have. But of course you should be able to remove it and put on a normal screen protector.

I currently use a screen protector my mofi, and I am happy with it. Yesterday I ordered some from Benks, but so far I have not tried them, but they say Benks are the best.

if i watch it closely i do notice the edges of my touchscreen but no foil by default.
So it could sound stupid, but are you sure it is a foil?

An to be honest it seems lots of people have issues after using foils,
i would recommand to use some kind of sock to place your m8?

Hum yes im pretty sure its a foil.
When i look at the three speaker holes, i can cleary see an egde around those.
Is there no edge on your screens? Its hard to explain, i mean a litte step like if there is a foil.
From which material the screen is made? is it glass or platic?

M8 does not come with a screen protector, I got mine new and they did not even include one like LG/Nokia/Samsung do on their touch screen phones.

If you just got it and there is something like that on it, it is possible that it is a refurbished phone, and they did not take the time to take the protector off or probably did not even notice it in the first place....

But a company applied screen protector is highly unlikely.....

I guess it depends where you bought the unit. I bought mine in China an official M8 retailer [Shanghai] and they did put the screen protector on it.. I watched them do it. If you got it from a Meizu shop, it could well have a screen protector applied.
As for removal... it would be like most others... google the subject on removing screen protectors.

Okay:
Im pretty sure i have a foil on my screen.
This foil isnt std, i could remove it.
But it fits really good, so i decided to ignore the scratches (if i can ) because the foil fits really good, and when i remeber what a mess it was to put such a foil on my mp3 player i think i can life with it

If you do decide to replace... here are a couple good options..
stick with the guard/foil...otherwise those scratches are gonna be on your screen [which is much more difficult and costly to replace]

Indeed, i bought it in the official Meizu store in Shenzhen. There they put the foil on the phone for you when you buy one as well.

After two months of usage there are some minor scratches, so i was planning on getting the foil refreshed the next time I'll be in China.

It looked like a painstaking thing to do...
