Thanked 189 Times in 130 Postsfirst of all what OS do you have on your computer?
second, what firmware version do you have?
depending of your os you do not need activesync or can download it in your language from MS websiteActiveSync and Drivers, but they are in Chinesse language
The driver for activesync/ usb mode is automaticly found from vista till windows 7.
Depending on the running firmware there is more or less chinese language in the english option, so try an upgrade.
hope this helps

Thanked 189 Times in 130 PostsYes i know.. some menus keep on providing chinese text.
but you could try a newer firmware like the 0.9.3.3,
myself did not find much chinese anymore if i select the english settings.
For vista: just hookup your m8 to the pc, it will search the driver in the windows driver database online, then it will install itself and also the activesync tool.
(My vista did this, but it was fully updated before i connected the m8.)
If it does not, you can install the chinese driver, and download activesync

due thamount of firmwares that get launched i cant track it anymore,
just have a look here if you do not like the firmware you can allways change it, it wont brick your phone.

Thanked 6 Times in 4 PostsThe only problem i have when synching with Windows Mobile Device Center (Active sync on vista) is that all my contacts lose the + sign in a phonenumber...
I plan on trying to reproduce this and find a way to prevent it the next time i want to upgrade firmware.
