It's a great piece of hardware...but
.....I was quite interested in the M8 as I first heart of it. I was really excited about buying one. Now after I got my M8 and I used it some time, I have to say, that I am really disappointed (yes I know the piece is made only for the chinese market)...hey but all the major bugs I encoutered (I don´t want wo mention them here...I think you know them all) and the way Meizu is releasing new firmwares with even more bugs makes me buy another phone...the M8 is not a device I can use as my main-phone.....To all my frustration the touchscreen doesn´t work anymore since last week (I did not drop it or so...just after 1 night of charging it does not react on a big area) :-) So I will send the piece back to china and wait for a new one which I only will use as a mediaplayer or so....
The community here is really great and if at MEIZU there would work people like here in this forum the M8 would really rock.....
I now ordered a HTC magic and I will see if this device makes it.
cheers
Jochen

Yes - nice Hardware, but the Software really nothing more than a lab version. Impossible to give to market. But MEIZU obviausli does not understand.

for me the most annoying things:
- no landscape-view for better typing
- default chinese keyboard
- soooo many internet-providers, but M8 only works with few
- lag of good-to-handle office-software
All other bugs are not bothering me that much...but these are absolutely no-gos
cheers

Thanked 50 Times in 20 PostsIts so unfortunate... it has the potential to be a great device, but potential just isnt good enough anymore as more and more touchphones rapidly come onto the market with way superior software.
I guess it said a lot when I went into the store to buy, and the rep there was using a htc as his 'normal' phone....lol.
Meizu might have done well with the M8 saleswise, but I seriously doubt they would do as well in the future, say with the M9, unless they get off their asses and produce a decent FW or successfully port Android...
