is this real meizu? Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm planning on buying this meizu but I am not sure if it is real. Seller says it is a quadband.

Yep its real. You can crack it from Dual band to quadband =)
The picture is a old one, i think you get the normal black one.

thanks for the reply. But I am a little confused

Are you saying that all meizu have quadband ability, so I can just get a dualband m8 and crack it to a quadband?

Also, there are 2 versions of m8? What do you mean by old one? I want to get the latest one

The old one(check the design) wasn't published for using, only in pictures..

It was changed because there were Problems with Apple and so on i think.


If you buy a M8, you get the newest one,.. Because you cant buy old ones.

There are 2 Versions. One version is without WiFi and the other one is with WiFi. I think the chance to get a phone without WiFi is very small.. All dualband meizu m8's have the Quadband integrated, but they aren't using it.

yes the M8 is quadband. I was a little skeptical at first when i bought mine. but when it came I was pleased that is was quadband (meizu says its not). I live in Oregon, US so I am glad its quadband. Mine is the version with Wifi (test verison), so if the one your buying has Wifi it will work. And that pic is of the first design, and you will probably get one with the current design.

wow! that is a good price, but the seller does not say if its dual or quad band. and no one posted a way to crack this so i would ask him first.
maybe this price is due to seller being new.

everything looks fine with that device..the model number could indicate the fabrication date or place or something else..

the only thing that didnt match is the java tag in the title..because the phone dont have it preistalled and the availible java emulator is not capable of much...
the bejewled2 game runs on its own with the operating system..got nothing to do with java

price is very good...

I'm am pretty sure that you don't have to crack the m8 to use the quad band capabilities. When I first got mine right out of the box it worked (even though it was in chinese) so after you put it in english and crack for wifi, you should be good. This is where I bought my mate from and it worked fine http://www.liaow.com ..they even have accesories too (Free shipping!! woot)...

Yeah, they ship to USA since thats were I am (in oregon). It takes a about 2 weeks but it is understandable for the price.
