    correct format for phone numbers

    i donŽt know if it is good to start this thread, but i read that a lot of people save their numbers twice and i just want to inform you that the following format works correct with calls and sms since fw 0.9.1.9

    +xx (xxxxxx) xxxxxxxxxxx

    please copy the free spaces and the brackets...nothing more to say....

    This actually depends on the country you live in...might work for someone and not for others, but if this is really a good-for-everyone format I'll sticky the thread
    So please everyone let us know if it works for you or not!
    I haven't had problems with the number format since January (firmware 0.8.x.x or something), +36xxxxxxx works for me for both SMS and calling (incoming and outgoing).

    @meizucoeurme you can do this via outlook then sync it to your phone afterwards

    @snoop could you please give me a example of what you mean because I don't understand the city part. Let's just say my number when i dial it within my country is 021321321 how would i save it (country code)+64 (21321321) 321321.

    @N2KU think your right about it depending what country you are in im in New Zealand and I also need to save two numbers to get full caller ID

    You know what my bigger problem is that I can't text things that do not start with a 0 i.e. for me to check my phone balance i would normally text bal to 777 but when i do it doesn't send it because when i try and send it the phone will automatically adds a 0 in front of the number i.e. 0777. Does anyone know how to over come this problem as i can't sign my phone up to facebook, check my bank and phone balances and so on because of it

    from another country: +65 (867) 1500

    I'm synchronizing to Outlook as well. In the US if I put the + in front of the number it will work for SMS but not for phone calls. I think I end up dialing international when the + is added. Since you are using Outlook - do you use the task list on your phone? I can't find it on the phone.

    so you can try (exactly) this format:

    +1 (416) 6615629

    normally you would call yourself from other countries dailing

    0014166615629 right?

    outlook translates this format to the one above...and in my case it works proper!

    People from Belgium can use the following format:

    landline's :
    '003215123456'

    -> landcode 0032
    -> normal number in example : 015/12.34.56

    cellphone's :
    '0032475123456'

    -> landcode 0032
    -> normal number in example : 0475/12.34.56

    Works like a charm for calls and messages with all firmware versions!
    (in newer FW even the format '3215123456' would work)

    ps :
    i did not try service numbers yet like :
    0800/12.345
    0900/12.345
    1230

    So they could be a problem cause calling in international format to some service numbers is not allowed.

    hi all
    i just found this thread and i need you help on this contacts in sms and in dialing being shown differently
    so what am i supposed to do if my country code is +972 and i dont know what does city code means like if i call a land line from my mobile then i need to enter 04 before the land line number in my city ... is that what it means ?
    anyway could someone help me with the format ?
    my issue is that when somebody calls me his number is shown without the country code thus his/her name appear correctly but when said person sends me an sms it appears with the country code thus displaying the number with the country code but no name
    help ? :S
