Thanked 83 Times in 30 PostsM8 SE version might come soon
I'v read a post in official bbs last night that meizu has already sent a SE version to the department for testing(the author said his friend is working in the department and told him some information about the SE version). someone also posted a photo of the SE motherboard. But the image has been removed by meizu.
So, i guess the new SE version will come within 1 or 2 month(at least before end of this year). I will try to find the image from my internet cache files tonight and post it here.
(so far, one confirmed thing is that the SE version supports the WAPI, which is Wifi compatible).
I guess i'd better wait for this version
-----------------------------
the image still there!(every time when I am trying to upload an image, it says upload failed. someone better to upload it here before meizu delete the image)
here you go

Thanked 189 Times in 130 Poststhe printboard looks very similar to the m8 one.
I am still wondering how meizu will deploy their research and testing for the SE,
cause they mentionned in one of my mail communications that they would keep me informed as soon there is an alpha model for developers purpose.
Would be nice if they would keep their promise.

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsNo, if you take a look at this motherboard and the current M8's motherboard you will see it looks a lot different. It should be an updated version of M8 of some kind...there were rumors about it at the chinese meizu forum a month ago or so.
Here's the old one:

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsGreat, EDGE and WLAN by default
I would really miss the music button, because it's comfortable to change tracks or pause music without taking the phone out of your pocket... any info if it's dual or quad band?

Thanked 26 Times in 19 Postsso is there an other mechanical button to trigger a photoshoot or can you do that now only with the touchsreen???Here it is, the new version of M8 (Second Edition) which is on sale starting from today, with enhanced signal strength, WLAN capabilities (WAPI and WIFI), and without the music button on its right side. Also it's using the same firmware as the M8.
