Meizu m8 charging dock by madesigns

Hi Meizu people
I m mitchell you can call me mitchy-limy or madesigns
I m a webdesigner and now i have started a project for the meizu m8.
I think it is a good idea the charging dock
Please people vote and give me more ideas to make this much cooler.
Then i go to meizu it self with this project,

what is this thread for? did i get that right...you are the (web-)designer and want us for design-ideas? you already designed the charging led...nice...

and if the docks design is finished you´ll send the sketch to meizu? you want them to produce your design?!?

good project but you should add a wall charger in the concept IMO.

Thats why i ask people from meizume ,maybe they have cool ideas that we can add on the dock

it looks good, i would add a support plug for the serial debug port :P

just due the fact that it would add a nice feature on to it
and it does not provide that much more work cause it can be used while running the mass mode/active sync. And it also could provide you an option to activate/deactivate the colored led.

And while you are busy you could think to add some speakers to it that you can use it as music player.

You could place the m8 in an 45 degree angle so you could add the speakers behind the m8 so it still looks nice but also provides extra support to hold the m8 it self.

I'd try to make the docking more angled, so it can be placed on a wall.

but then there will be a need to have a normal powercord to charge the device.

You could add a system aswell to let the leds only go on if the m8 is been placed in to the socket.

mitchy-limy, it seems that you will need to make some new drawings with those add-ons in place ;-)

And when you do, note that "uncomplete" is not a word. :-P

Nice idea. However, My biggest problem with chargers is that for devices like the m8, if the m8 is on, it will grow very hot. The best thing you could do is to implement a cooling device. have it go down atleast a quarter of the way in. The charger is not tall enough.
Another great thing you could do, have a portable mode. Where you can insert batterys or there is a rechargeable battery in there and when it is plugged in your meizu and the battery charges. That would get you alot of Business. And please, for us english users, have the text in english and chinese. I mean the text that will be on the box, On the device itself, etc.
Hope i can help. Maybe you could give the people who help you with the design a prototype? That way we can give you better feedback. If you do, Make sure to implement a statement saying we are to test and return your product.

A nice idea. Make sure that the M8 is stable enough in the dock. I like the design. Maybe you can make a version with boxes and a version without, because I am sure that good boxes would make the item more expensive.

Maybe draw up a schematic? Audio/Video(?) out, and a power supply port.

I don't think the power supply is necessary, doesn't the M8 come with an AC-USB adapter? Nonetheless, it would be pretty convenient to have that.

this is in my opinion nothing more than a childish project...this is not a colani or starck design...and who should produce a "custom-designed" dock...what are you willing to pay for that? this must be a mass-production item...cheap and nice...

and do you really believe that the meizu-designers and engineers need ideas from you?!? look at all the products of meizu...they don´t need any design-advice i guess they´re doing a great job already!

docks (in future) will be produced by e.g. belkin or logitech or hama or by whom ever...

don´t get me wrong...this is just what i´m thinking...

just to give you one example...
have a look at the pictures that one posted (to the GALERY - section) to the M9s Design. Those pictures are great. The design is one of the best i´ve ever seen!!!!!!!! must have been the hell of work!
Do you believe that meizu will care about that pictures whilste designing there new phone...not nowadays whith all that copyrights and stuff...
