Jwong reply on M8 Touch panel issue (mulfuntion) 19/8

Meizu CEO reply on M8 touch panel problem, estimated over 70% M8 problem is related to M8 touch panel problem.

Jwong: we will demanding compensation form TPK or lawsuit with them, and will get back answer to our user

some user ask if meizu recall all M8
Jwong: with our current ability, we will get bankruptcy.


Jwong: not all M8 will facing touch panel problem, but the touch panel QC good rate is not high. and we will repair for free or replace new one for free

JWong: due to capacitor touch panel is quite new technology, so from start we use Apple iphone touch panel suppler Xiamen TPK to supply capacitor touch panel for as, but we have not thought that have so many quality issue, (i listen other gossip their other customer Backbarry also facing same lcd problem), currently we in negotiations with TPK for solutions, other that we also start testing other touch panel form other supplier


Jwong: not human error (LCD broken), or display malfunction we never charge for repairing.
early Touch panel issue not all will happens, currently our solution for problem unit is repair or change.

JWong: Touch panel and LCD panel is 2 different component.


JWong: We will run new policy that in 1 year warranty period, as long not human error to cause M8 touch panel problem, we will directly replace some unit for free.

JWong: please not, current we in process demanding compensation or bringing a lawsuit to solve the problem.

thanks but i guess it will not be posible if foreigners want to change their screen even if it's not damaged.
