LBE go round

There is a way to play Worms & Co without LBE

HowTo:

1. Install Fakedll.cab (see item 4)

2. Download any game e.g. Worms and put the .cab file in e.g. /disk/Game directory

3. Install the .cab file and replace 2 files gxgameloader.exe and gx.dll (see item 4)

4. Fakedll.cab and LBEGame Assist.rar (gxgameloader.exe & gx.dll) is here to download

Further informations:
1. Worms&Co mit LBEGame Assist - Chinamobiles
2. LBE Assist

Have fun!!

Really necessary?

Hi guys,
do you actually need their version of the GAPI? I've got Age Of Empires (and other stuff) running without purchasing any LBE GAPI stuff, but just by downloading a specialized game loader. There are two files necessary, one of which is an executable to start the game. You can just copy those files into the directory of a game and execute the loader.
I had no problems running AoE and other stuff, though I think that controlling the games via the tilt sensor is quite inconvenient. With AoE it is fine, as tilting scrolls only and is not necessary for moving around units.

If you are interested in the two files (one dll and one exe) to try by yourself, just let me know and I will try to find a way to upload them. Maybe you would not need to wait for the mass purchase of LBE GAPIs then.

(I got the files off the internet, some German forum)

EDIT: tumi07 already mentioned it above. How could I have missed it...

Actually I'm waiting for answers from the possibile buyers (Error, waterboy etc) and let me say that IF SOMEONE IS ABLE TO BUY THE LBE PLEASE PM ME!

Rekado, I actually play with those two files but buy the LBE for 2$ mean have a more "detailed" product and let it develop better.

ahh okay gotcha

@rekado: as far as i understood that LBE thingy enables hardware acceleration wich would mean better performance -> higher FPS -> more fluent game flow + less battery usage...

if i'm wrong pls correct me ^^

Okay, then it actually would make sense.
As I recall, you can get it from Taobao, which requires an Alipay-enabled bank account (like CMB [China Merchants Bank]).

(Unfortunately, Alipay requires an ActiveX extension, so a potential customer is bound to use IE on Windows. IEs4Linux didn't quite work well with it.)

I haven't been following this thread as I'm not really interested; I thought there was a volunteer who would bulk-order that LBE-thingy for the group of people.

---

It would help a lot to understand what those 'adaptions' actually are. Wincesoft offers adding adaptions for unsupported devices for 10 EUR. Once we have that, we could probably distribute it to everybody. Then there would be no need for other people to got through the LBE-Taobao-Alipay-story...

it is just an idea,
but in the smartq wince package i thought there should be a gapi included.
(not sure if it is the lbe or so.. but hey you can test it)
Maybe you could rip it out of the package and run on m8 ?
not legal i know but just an idea

here you see it should be included:
the wince includes LBE Game Assist(GAPI) special designed
and here you can download the package:

Kirash, you still haven't purchase the LBE?
As i know, the author has stopped the sale of LBE temporary at 2009-9-22.
The author sell the LBE to a sofeware company, but it will be continually updated.
You can wait for re-sale.
