Help!! My harddisk have gone.

I have a meizu m8 16 white edition for two month
I syncronize my pc and disconncet open meizu me but not have harddisk when see in setting>about>Capacity & Available is shown Unknown.
Clear Registry @ Soft reset not work!!
Can u help me.

strange, try to downgrade the firmware then upgrade again?

How downgrade?

same way like you upgrade:

Just place the xip.bin from an older version on the /disk/
then follow the procedure to 'upgrade' and it will 'upgrade' with older firmware.

I can't copy xip.bin in to harddisk because meizu me not see hdd.

setting>system>system rest>format disk

but your data in Disk will be gone....

Please disconnect from the PC and everything will be OK.

1.setting>usb port>usb disk

2.connect to the PC

what do you find on your pc?

Run the command: diskmgmt.msc
If you can find the M8's disk in the disk list, and no important data in it. You can format it.
If this still does work,you may need a hex editor(ie. WinHex) to fix it(see the link above).

press the POWER KEY & MUSIC KEY to enter the upgrade mode(don't click the Upgrade key), and then connect to the pc by usb , can you see the disk ?

i not see disk when connect by USB mode

I had a similar problem before. Reason was that for some reason (that I don't know) during a FW upgrade all folders in "Disk" got the attribute "hidden". I couldn't see them in the explorer (on the M8 or on the Win explorer when conncted via USB). But I could see them in the "TotalCommander" (another freeware explorer for WindowsXP), but also marked as hidden.

To solve this problem I downloaded a small tool called "iReset" (try to google for it).

Might be worth a try. Good luck!

I think disk not hidden because not find disk(is show unknown) maybe return to check in factory.

sorry but you issue is still not very clear to me.
Could you please say what you issue is :

1/ You can not see the disk through the menu of the phone
2/ You can not see the disk in usb mass mode through windows explorer
3/ You can not see the disk in activesync mode through windows explorer
4/ other..

if option 1;
restart m8 and clear registry.
If still broke, restart m8 go to upgrade menu , then connect to the pc and place an older firmware on the /disk/ and continu with upgrade.

if option 2 or 3 try to connect you m8 with a complete different pc.
If the disk shows up do a reset from the registry and do a downgrade of firmware. then try again on the original pc.

if option 4 , please explain

It'have problem in all option (1-3); not see disk in all option.
in option 1; Restart and clear not work.
in option 2,3 ; tomorrow test in different PC.
