Thanked 5 Times in 2 Postsdisk directory problem.. please help
hello guys, im having a problem on my Disk directory.
I cannot find my Photo, Video, User Ring, Ebook, and Music folders on my Disk. I now see an equivalent .exe file of these folders on the Disk directory. When I click on them, the message "invalid Windows CE application" appears.
But, when I use my desktop to access these folders, I can still see the contents(Photos, music.. etc.).
When I tried to access the disk via my laptop, I also dont see these folders.. Im starting to worry now.. please help

Thanked 9 Times in 5 PostsAre you connected to desktop/laptop when you can't find the disk directory? Are you connected as USB disk or ActiveSync? Normally you won't be able to see Disk folder on your phone when your M8 is connected to a computer.
Can't help you much since I have never experienced this. You could try doing a backup of your files and folders, and then reset the computer registry.

Thanked 50 Times in 20 PostsWhen connected in USB mode to ur computer u will only see the 'Disc' contents. To access the 'Device' root which contains the programs/ folders for ur installs, you need to connect to the computer thru 'active sync'.
First u need to download either Activesync [for XP] or Windows Mobile Device Center [Vista] and install it on ur laptop. Then u need to pair ur M8 using Activesync. To do this, on ur M8... go to Settings/USB port and change from 'USB' oprion to 'ActiveSync' option... then once paired u can view and access the 'Device' root directory folders. Hope that helpz.

Thanked 5 Times in 2 PostsThanks for your reply..
I have 2 conditions:
1. when I browse my disk via my laptop(connected via USB, in USB mode), I cannot see the folders.
2. When I browse my disk through the M8(not connected to my laptop), still i cannot see these folders.
on both situations, I only see .exe files named as photo.exe, video.exe, userring.exe, ebook.exe..
I noticed this to happen when I installed Dynamic desktop Ver1.
Could there be something that this app is doing to the Disk that "ghosts" my basic folders?
I would really appreciate your help on this. Thanks
