Broken touch functionality (Any suggestions?)
A couple of days ago my M8 stopped working normally. The touch sensitivity got a lot worse, especially in the left bottom corner. I experienced this with the 0.9.1.5 as well as with the current 0.9.1.10 firmware, so I don't think it's a software problem.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Has anyone got his M8 successfully repaired or exchanged? Any help is appreciated.

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsJust out of curiosity...are you or have you been using screen protector? Because there is a lot of complaint on meizu bbs, and all of those people having touchscreen issues are using screen protectors. You should try and remove the screen protector if you are using one, and wash it, and also clean your screen!

If the issue proves to be hardware related, ie your touchscreen is going down hill. You can contact: Info@meizu.com
But do note, that by shipping the M8 out of China, the warranty is forfit.
So you might wanna read this: Announcement of M8 after-sales service for overseas end-users - M8 Help Center - Meizu Forums
And heres what it might cost ya, minus shipping:

Good luck to ya

Thanked 83 Times in 30 Poststhat sounds like some static left on the screen. after removing the static, the functioning screen will come back.
what the guy did is to use a wrapper(antistatic or not, I don't know) to stick on the screen and touch it with finger, then take the wrapper off and stick it again with the other surface down and touch on it with finger.
hope this helps and good luck.

Thanked 9 Times in 5 PostsI had same problem as OP. Bottom left corner was unresponsive. It came to a point where I couldn't even 'unlock' my phone by dragging the padlock icon across the screen. I had it sent for repairs and it took about one working week for them to fix it. (Note: I am in Shanghai, China and had it repaired in that city, therefore no shipping time added) Don't forget to backup your phone. They will clean the phone registry/memory out and install the latest official fw during repairs.

First of all: thanks for your help to everyone. Now I used a couple of different tapes without luck. Did you use any special kind of tape? In the chinese thread there was something about putting it in the refrigirator. Has anyone an idea what it is supposed to mean?

Thanked 2 Times in 2 PostsI've the same problem, the left under corner doesn't seem to respond anymore, which makes it very hard to unlock the phone... I didn't use a screen protector, should I return it to the online store where I bought it or should I try this ''electric'' tape first?
