Thanked 10 Times in 7 Postsargh, so I was right... they're just replacing screens with others defected. Anyway I partially repaired mine using loooots of sparks. It seems that if you use the right spark in the right place you may "repair" sensitivity in a totaly different zone. Just place the phone on a metal grounded zone didnt work?

this is not good news! I really thought the M8SE hasn't these screen problems. I hope it's just a onetimer! or maybe the same problems will occur after the same time of usage. In my case it was slender a year.
I owned about 10 mobile phones so far. the M8 is the first i one which need to be repaired of the manufacturer! Mobiles should sustain for a minimum of two years. Hope I'll get a new M8 back and the problem is fixed for another year. after that I'll buy my next phone.MX-HK, M9, M8, M6SL

Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsI got my M8 back two days ago and they didn't replace it with a new SE; I got a M8RE :-( Now it works perfectly and I hope that the problem will not occur again. If it happens again, I would not buy a Meizu phone anymore.

Thanked 200 Times in 145 PostsIt is good to have you back d3lta
According to what i read the RE should also have a fixed touchscreen (probably the new PET), a fixed antenna to improve the signal and something about the battery...
I hope you are back for good ^^Meizu M8 SE - FW 0.9.9.18 (dao89 n450) Dualboot LBE A11 Android 2.2

@ d3lt4
nice that you got back your phone. Mine is in repair at the moment. Hope to get a RE or SE as well. Looks like the SE has screen issues too, so it dosen't matter which one you get. The RE does have the music button, so that's a plus for me!
I will definitely not buy a meizu M9 in the first place if the screen of the M8 will loose it's sensitivity again. I would wait until it's fully testet.
@ Loonix
do you have a source for that! That would be an interesting info!
You have a broken M8 too?MX-HK, M9, M8, M6SL

Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsYeah, the positive thing about the M8RE is the music button. To be honest, since I've read about the SE having screen problems too, I am a bit "down"...I can ignore the fact that the FW is not 100% finished, but that old hardware problems resurface, well, that's not good news.
About the screen: of course, I can't tell if it is a PET screen, but the frame around the screen looks kind of bluish; if I remember correctly, it was a bit darker on the original M8. Maybe they changed the top frame and the glass?
But I got a 1300mAh battery, that's cool! :-)
Hopefully you get yours back soon, iceman!

to you people who got back a new phone and not a repaired one:
did you get back your phone without any accessories, they same way you sent it to meizu?
I thought if meizu gives you a complete new M8 (RE or SE), you get every accessory too. Like headphones, battery...
Looks like I will not!MX-HK, M9, M8, M6SL

Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsI didn't send it to Meizu but to my dealer, I sent only the phone, and I got only the phone, no accesoires. Well, actually I am glad, because I don't use the headphones anyway, and what would I want to do with two boxes for the phone?

Have a M8 FE, one of the first one's.
yesterday, noticed that the touch is not working in the Lower Right corner of the screen.
Ran the TouchScreen Tester... that confirmed the fault.
The Not working area is right where the "Yes" "OK" command is ... so it makes it difficule to operate and confirm the functions on the phone.
Any ideas... I was planning to send the phone back to China for a replacement or fix... I might have to do that sooner than I thought...
Anything else I can try???
Pointers would be appreciated.919263

Thanked 3 Times in 3 PostsPersonally I would just send it to be replaced. I spent too long trying to fix it only for it to get worse. In the end I sent it to be fixed and got a new one back - think it took about 7 weeks in total.

Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsYeah, I would send it back, too. It's easier, you have to wait for about 6 to 8 weeks, but you'll get a phone that'll work until the release of the M9 :-)
The do-it-yourself-fixing of the screen does not work forever, I had to do it a second time and it didn't work.
