I don't understand what they did in the videos. What did they rub the M8 with?

Thanked 3 Times in 2 PostsHey,
from the video it look like a piezoelectric gas-lighter, you can find it everywhere (do not confuse with a gas one or you burn your M8!)
I think that the "treatment" reset any possible magnetic field on the touch screen so it's new again...

Thanked 13 Times in 8 PostsI also experienced some touchscreen problems..
parts of the display would be iresponsive and parts would send wrong coordinates...
so.. today I tried doing the thing with the fire-lighter like here -> 电击法视频。让一些人可以闭嘴了。 - 综合讨论区 - [魅族论坛]
and I completely got my screen back!
I took a little picture to show what lighter I used

I think the trick is to send (a little) electricity into the screen, so be sure to touch the screen as much as possible with a metal part of the lighterLast edited by owenray; 11-04-2009 at 05:28 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsCould you expand a little more on what you did? I've moved a lighter around my screen for a good 10 minutes and there was no positive effect.

Thanked 13 Times in 8 PostsI didn't do it exactly like he did on the video..
actually.. since there still was fuel in the lighter.. I placed the whole metal part of the lighter horizontally on the screen..
so the part where the fire comes out pointed right from my device
then lightened the lighter a few times..
to be clear.. I held the device vertically (that is in portrait mode)
I couldn't find my camera.. else I would've taken a pic with the meizu and the lighter....

Thanked 13 Times in 8 PostsI was thinking.. probably u can also use another lighter, like on the picture..
take it apart...
use the part where the arrow is pointing at... there is a little piece of iron sticking out of that...
hold that against the screen
then press the "button" on the part..
this will result in an electric shock..
this way should be more effective.. cause u can directly touch the screen with the iron..

(it's also fun to tease people with...)
