    Repair costs... in Chinese...

    Hello

I guess most of us know of this issue:
Announcement of M8 after-sales service for overseas end-users - M8 Help Center - Meizu Forums

Basicly we "over the seas" users, which odly includes people who live on the same continent as the chinese ie the european, have to pay for our own repairs so...

Basicly the last week ive reasearched on what it would cost to get my M8 repaired; front touch panel has cracked in two.

And a assitant at meizu gave me this to reference the costs on:
    http://bbs.meizu.com/thread-1048123-1-1.html

Only problem is: I dont understand chinese, so i trust that there may be someone in here that can translate this for the greator good

Half-surprised you got referred to the Chinese site. Hmm, my Chinese is not so good, but basically, the Google translation is ok (except 3 bag = 3 packages).
    For the picture:
    Item Charge:
1.Replacement fee -- 100rmb basic service charge -- charged regardless of whether replacement is due to tear and wear
2.Aluminium frame of phone -- 200rmb (includes basic service fee) -- charged if aluminium alloy frame has suffered scratches, wear and tear, lacquer peeling off
3.Touchscreen (exclude breakage) -- 300rmb (includes alu frame and basic service charge) -- charged if touchscreen suffers from scratches, wear and tear

    Thanks tilai

It's good to see what the customer services are acttually talking about, although they did tell me that to repair my phone would cost 300RMB.

And now theres only customs to tackle, hopefully avoiding getting chraged when sending the phone to repairs...

100rmb is round about 10€, so a complete repair of the touchpad for less then 30€ is at least a got price

    very good price indeed!

Coninsan, maybe you could call customs first to request if there is any fee for shipping so called 'RMA'-packages?
You could try to explain them that you did not buy anything?

Well i contacted Postdanmark (Danish postal services) and they do not offer any sort of RMA packaging, but they did tell me that stating that the phone is 'non functioning' on the customs announcement, which is mandatory to be placed on the package, will lower the chance of getting charged greately.
So i might just have to jump the gun and send it in for repairs as such.
