Sell ipod touch for meizu m8?

i am wondering if i should sell my ipod touch in order to get money for a meizu m8. I am wondering if the meizu compares with the ipods games and the internet browsing thanks

No, meizu doesn't compares to iphone/itouch games, they run more smooth.

But! The M8 is far better when it comes to price/quality scale.
If you can get money to buy a M8, do it!

About the internet browsing, meizu is not only developing a lot, so are others with third-party software.
At the moment i dont think the M8 is better, but it is going to be better in the future, with a lot more potential then the itouch!

If i would get this chance, i would sell my itouch, definately!

(But maybe that is because apple is not that great in windows)

Thanks for that. I might keep the touch for a while to see how the money goes for getting the m8 and then ill see if i can have both!!!

For me, I would actually rather keep the iPod, since already the foundation has been mostly complete for it. There's loads of applications, and I hate to admit it, but Apple is usually correct in the "there's an app for that" campaign. After using Apple's app store on my dad's iPhone, I really don't want to go back to the Palm style hunting I used to have to do with my Tungsten T3.

About iTunes though, it annoys me enough that I just want to put a bunch of songs on and never use it again.

thanks for the replys i was also thinking that if i got the m8 i wouldnt have to worry about carrying around my ipod and a phone. Kill two birds with one stone.

It's just more of a technological/enthusiast phone. You have to have interest in the subject to have the M8 working in top condition and the way it is supposed to. Nothing that I know of will fail...

Are you good with technology? i.e. have you written programs, jailbroken your iPod Touch (pre-quickpwn), have you ever used Terminal/Command Prompt? If so, the M8 will be a great piece of tech for you. If you are the stereotypical Mac user....then stick with the iPod Touch. (It's never too late to start; you can start by jailbreaking your iPod Touch).

I am quite good with technology I have jailbroken my iPod when they were on the 1.1.x none of this quick pwn I have also done lots of work with repairs for iPods eg water damage. As for command line I have done very little. Most that I have done is probably using Linux and mac. But I do under stand when people say type this into the terminal eg cd c: or what ever. And with programs never made one but that's were dad come in he's done lots of game writing. So he can help if any knowledge is needed

Sounds like you should get yourself a M8! But they are a bit pricey...Good to hear that you are a enthusiast though. You also will love the Sound Quality. it blows the iPod Touch away! (Given that you do know how to set EQ's though, and you have a decent pair of headphones).

Hardware knowledge isn't required as much, more of software (I'm personally more of a hardware guy too :P). you will be sure to enjoy it...Although it will put a $420 dent in your wallet for a 16 GB unit.

Hey, by the way, do you know if the charging circuit is on the battery of the iPod Touch? I recently bought a water damaged touch from a friend, and I have cracked it open, and saw circuitry on the battery. Reason being that the iPod will only charge when it is completely dead (Screen only shows battery and lightning bolt).

I've heard from Blackstar that the touch 2G's SQ is pretty decent though.

I would rather say its pretty mediocre. You cat compare them with the M8 at all in my opinion and i heard both.

I have tested a 2G in the Apple Store with my PL-30s. SQ is alright, not great. It's pretty flat, and the Bass has no punch to it; it falls off...Treble can be harsh, and mid is overpowering. Don't eve try any of the EQs, they are overdone, and either cause major sibilance, or hugely distorted lows.

16gb here in aus is 500+ and with the ipod when i fixed the one that i had it was a 1 g so it might be different but yes there was the charging circuit is on the battery if i re-call correctly. may be wrong though

Normally, if you import the M8(8Gb model with wifi) from china, its about 350 USD (shipping costs included!)

It's true, if you are a bit technological you will love the M8, i use it every day with pleasure
And i have to say, that it's build quality is pretty decent, better than any HTC/Dopod

I'm definitely sold on the quality of the M8 as a mp3 player and phone, and I don't even have it yet! Simply put, the iPhone is the only other bona-fide option for such a device, and not everyone has AT&T. And the cheap price compared to the iPhone doesn't hurt. :D

In my opinion, the M8 is underdeveloped and over priced for limited apps in english and very buggy. there is little support and you have to install and search everything yourself. i bought a 16 M8 about 2-3 weeks ago and have updated my firmware about 4 times cause of problems and bugs but new problems have come up... stick with the ipod touch for now. and maybe, Just maybe when the new firmware comes out in august, and doesnt have SOOO many problems, then go for it. Right now, i would hold off, you will be disappointed. I personnally hate apple cause you need to use their software, but its true what they say, "there's an app for that"

-Its great you could play age of empires on it, but i cant buy the key.dat, yet it has all these games.... in chinese. and you can only play it in china..
-Its great, it has wifi.... but on the go, NO 3g?... wtf
-glad that it has a browser... why cant i go on the internet and watch youtube.. or no flash sites.. it has a flash player, but not intergrated in to the browser.
-has Counterstrike and house of dead, but i cant look left or right, i can only side step and go forward.
-the new firmware 0.9.1.7 sux, the volume on it is soo f***ed up and you better not unplug your head phones when music is playing, cause it wont play sound on the external speakers ever again, Reboot once again, but trust me, it wont be your last before the day is done.
-how does the new caller interface look? Not sure i haven't seen it yet, even though it was supposed to be loaded on this firmware.
-Oh! there's another leaked firmware upgrade... where did all my installed programs go?... guess i have to reinstall everything over again, why bother they dont work properly anyways.

man, the list goes on. nothing is stable, dont bother takin pictures unless everyone stays still for 10 seconds and there is TONS of light or else your pic is all blurry.
for now, stick with your ipod touch. dont waste $419USD on a M8 - 16gb..

I know all these things before i buy it and if you read the most posts in this forum you would know that the M8 is for people who like "trail and error" and don't like the "normal" stuff...
