    Arrow Why buy a Meizu m8 ?

    Hello everyone !
I've just joined this forum, since I have just another couple of questions before I buy my 16Gb Meizu m8.

First of all, I read from various websites, that the video player had some lag when you played videos. Is this still the case with the latest firmware ? Basically, all I want is a phone that can read videos nice and smoothly in full screen and decent resolution, without having any audio/video problem. So, will the meizu m8 offer me such comfort ?

Secondly, I was wondering if I could install windows mobile programs on the meizu and make them work ? Otherwise, do you think the meizu m8 will someday reach a point where, just like for the iThing, you could download an application for literally anything ?

Is there a way of downloading files via WiFi directly through the Meizu without having a PC ? Like this, we could download applications and install them directly of the Meizu. Is such a thing possible ?

Is it possible to (if it's impossible to watch youtube videos), to download videos online through maybe megaupload or any other direct download website, and watch them straight away ?

wow, I actually wrote quite a block there, so I'll wait for your answers... any answer is welcome ! thanks !

BTW : I'm french, so will there be a complete french patch someday ?

Okay, I've just read the FAQ but it only answers my question about applications available or not with windows mobile 6.0.
But all my other questions are still un-answered...

    hello welcome to meizume!

the M8 OS isn't WM but winCE 6.0

now the M8 is translated almost totally in french by Meizu!

i'm desapointed by the video function too but it can be improved with firmwares updates.

    Welcome to Meizu Me!

First of all, I read from various websites, that the video player had some lag when you played videos.
It seems that certain avi files are not playing with 30fps, but only with around 22-23 (my guess). Other video types are playing just fine altough I haven't been using the video player as much as I thought I would.

Secondly, I was wondering if I could install windows mobile programs on the meizu and make them work ? Otherwise, do you think the meizu m8 will someday reach a point where, just like for the iThing, you could download an application for literally anything ?
    Windows Mobile applications won't work.
The application variety only depends on the creativity of the programmers who are 99% chinese people at the moment... Would be much better if Meizu decided to release the phone internationally.

Is there a way of downloading files via WiFi directly through the Meizu without having a PC?
The Meizu appstore is not yet ready, but it should be possible when they open it.

Is it possible to (if it's impossible to watch youtube videos), to download videos online through maybe megaupload or any other direct download website, and watch them straight away ?
I'm not sure about this. Online videos won't work, that's for sure.
