I get chinese signs in SMS from friends

This is a really annoying problem, some of the SMS's I recieve are completely in chinese signs! They are of course written in western language by my friends, but when I get them they are in chinese, and I can never know what was originally written.. Anyone have a solution? or the same problem? FW; 9.0.5

Messages are populated by squares and chinese symbols, often ends with "(3-3)" or "(2-2)"..

I got the same problem. On FW 0.905. just like urs - end with 3-3 / 2-2.

Those sms are from my subscriber, so i dun give much thought.

I'm not sure if things i installed cause these errors.
FYI things I installed : netcf3.5, wince eng, corrected english for 9.0.5.

Also got the problem, but 2 minutes after the chinese mssg i get the normal one...

Maybe the char set mistake? Well new firmware will come in several days, just wait to see if it's fixed.
