So i'm considering an M8 but there are some things i would like to get straight.
How many major problems are there with the new firmware even if it's a little problem i would like to know. (because after owning a meizu m6sl I'm a little bit scared to get an m8)
Is the screen glass?
does the phone come with two batteries?
where else can i buy the phone other then ebay?
How good is the call quality?
does the mp3 player support album art embedded in the mp3 file

The screen is made out of glass, so no scratches (unless you really want to carve some scratches in o.O ), looks very solid - good quality too!
The phone comes with only one battery but you can buy another one on the internet! At least the battery isnt build in like in the iPhone (sucks!).
There are several sources to buy this phone from but the forum rules forbid promotion of these sites so i wont name them, just google! But be careful there are some scam-sites...
As for the call-quality i guess you mean the sound-quality during a call?! In my opinion its really on par with other (non chinese) cellphones
And last but not least the Mp3 player has a veeeery good quality in playing Mp3 and the like(!!) and it also supports displaying the Album covers...
There are rumors that some sort of Coverflow is already in development. Third party software proved the M8 to be capable of it

Thanked 3 Times in 3 PostsI got mine this week. So far comparing to a friends iphone, I would say it is on a par apart from a few bugs like the mms and text numbers . I am not really bothered about hundreds of apps that you never use anyway. The games I have down loaded are good and the music player in my opinion is superior to my ipod. WiFi connects great . All in all I am very pleased with it - oh and I don't have tosign up to a contract with O2 like iphone - which is good for me as I can't get a signal in my house for O2.

This guy says the player isn't all that great compared to mp3 players in NA.
things i look for in a media player are seemless playback (no gaps between songs),VERY little background noise, and being able to quickly find my songs
The only player that has actually satisfied me is the zune which i think is better than Ipod.
(has the mp3 player been improved with newer firmwares if it isnt all that good out of the box)
ALSO does it have the same problems that the m6 had when playing music, eg, stuttering, some songs load and skip the whole way through, and songs not playing in the order they are tagged ie. my m6 plays music by name not by the song order just a few things that would put me off from buying the phone.
Also i found a chinese phone distributer that is selling the m8 8gb for $299 wondering if that sounds like a "too good to be true" price. they actually just lowered it from $369 a few days agoLast edited by dudedud; 07-27-2009 at 03:15 AM.
