Returning my meizu !!!!!! tired of it.

I bought it for 420 bucks from ebay.
Finally, after using for a week and a half, i have to put that thing away..
I was frustrated with it. All the major setting and options that you expect from the phone this meizu doesn;t do it.
First of all, the cotacts list.., there are less options for contact setting, even some simple contact lists setting not on there.
I cant set to view sim contact only, i cant even see whos calling or sending text messages, instead of showing the name it shows the number eventhough i copied contacts to the phone.
The material surrounding the fone are plastic cheap feeling, using the phone for a week i already have scratches everywhere, denses and dings. Not worth the money that i put into.
As a smart phone, there are less apps and games, compare to the iphone this thing aint a bit as good.
The hardware of the fone pretty crappy, the vibrating function stop working after a week, just exactly what you would expecting from china product.
It takes forever to load pics that you just put in, the multitouch does not fuction smoothly as it would.

The MAJOR THING i hate about is the noise it produces from the phone, if you put your ear close to it, you can hear the constant beep noise (like the fan spinning), even talkin on the phone, i can hear the persons voice and the annoying noise produce from the phone mixing together.

I'm not trying to taking trashing about it, just telling how i feel and my opinion about the fone.

This fone will need alot of improvement, even they sell for 350 usd, just not worth it.

You sure you got the Meizu M8 and not a clone?

100% cuz i was able to reflash the firmware and see the spec.

This phone is still 'beta'. users who wants a phone with no bugs haves to wait or buy a other phone. There are alot of apps and other stuff for download, maybe now you have more fun with your phone.

You might have just gotten a dud, most Meizu products are pretty sturdy, and do not break in a week...

ok, do one thing for me, put the phone close to your ear, and tell me if you hear any constant noise...

i don't hear anything! and my sister has a meizu, too and she doesn't hear anything, too!!

@ nicct: there isn't any constant voice! just tried it. with- and without screenlock.

If you start the music player (play) and turn down the volume to 0 you will hear the noise he's talking about.
Meizu is aware of this however...should be fixed soon.

I havent had any of these problems,i reckon youve broken it by bashing it arround or you have got a fake,which as you got it from ebay seems quite likely.

ok so where are u returning the phone too if you bought it off ebay? i have had my m8 for less than a week and put it up until they get push email and a browser that can download and more apps of course. i will just keep mine put up though no need to sell it i knew what i was getting myself into when i bought it.

I can hear a low 'bzz' at the back with the battery when i don't have screenlock on. But as soon as i turns the lock on, it stops. Not that it bothers me, and can't hear it when I'm talking on the phone.

1.1 Mobile Phone No.
1.2 Picture
1.3 RingTone
But if you go to "add other items", you can set.
1.4 Email
1.5 Address
1.6 QQ
1.7 MSN
1.8 Webpage
1.9 Birthday
1.10 Note
If you don't have this, pls.check your phone.

= For SMS, M8 will add +country code number. Then they can not match the phone number in your contact list. I hope, it will solve in future
= For miss calling, my M8 has shown ! on phone picture and I just press it, then they will show me who phone.

= I have this problem in my first week too as M8 has energy saving program while you move phone to your ear, it will close display but if you move your hand or your face a little bit it will on and then you face or your hand touch display and make order to them for mute, or record or hold or bla bla. After I lock display, I never here the sound bip again.

4. Game
= I think that it have program name LBE to help you for this and in this web has many too.

5. Application
= You can see in this web that many member has support.

Len, what do you mean by 1.1,1.2,1.3.......I dont get it, how do you type those numbers on the contacts to get to add those infos like pictures atc? can you explain?

You press the little icon (pen symbol) next to the contact's name to edit it, then if you press on the avatar icon on the left you can choose a picture, or you can "Add Other Items" or phone numbers.

Thanx N2KY, been a complete ass not to click everywhere on the damn screen! was missing out on the picture part!.....now only if I can find the torrent of this LBE thingy......it mightnot be even english is it?

The number 1.1, 1.2 that no meaning, I want to separate item only.

thx alot of u guys help.. i might this he sent me a refurb fone thats why i have a lot of issue. I have open a ebay dispute to get it exchange for a new one or refund. I appreciated.

I hope the next firmware will have smoother touch.. this compare to this iphone, iphone still at it best for multitouch.
