Guys,
I have been using the M8 for the past 3 weeks and its an amazing phone.I have been installing all the apps and checking them out.If I did not like them I uninstall the same.
Last night i tried launcing some apps and it said that the exe is missing.Confused i checked within my documents icon and was shocked to see that my disk was renamed to disk2. I tried renaming it back to disk from my explorer. But nothing happened.I rebooted the phone and i did not find the disk option within documents. After sometime it appeared in the documents list in the original form and name.
I am confused at this point as to what happened.Has anyone faced this ? any ideas wat could have happened.I stay in India andI dont have any local resource for info on M8.
Ur inputs would be very valuable.
Thanks,
KK

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsStrange, nobody else complained about such a problem before...but it is working ok now, right? You must have accidentally renamed the Disk folder or something. In case something strange happens you can always try to do a registry reset if nothing else helps. Be sure to backup from the settings menu before you do.

Just got the same problem!
I was waiting for a friend to reply my sms I just sent, and suddenly i got the reply but with a different sms-sound. The sound you get when the "disk" folder is not present.
And right when I was about to reply the sms I got a call from a friend, and as you may guess I didn't have my regular ringtone, just as when disk folder is not present!
After closing the call I got back to the desktop and I noticed that all the icons for my installed app's were gone! Just as when... yea, you know
I checked in "Documents" to see if my disk folder was there, and just as for s.kris79 it was named disk2!
For me a simple restart of the phone did the trick, but it was kind of scary while it lasted!
Anyone more than me and s.kris79 that have been experiencing this behavior yet?
Sorry for writing a whole novel about it!
Some times, I get this feeling that i really want to work out! But then I sit down on the couch and wait till it disappears..
