Where can I buy the M8?
The M8 is not officially sold outside from China. You can only get it on the gray market. Ebay or chinese online shops sell it. You won’t get references to any shop here in the forum.
Is the M8 sold in my country?
No. Look at: 'Where can I buy the M8?'
How are my GPRS settings?
Have a look here: List of GPRS Network Settings for M8
How are my MMS settings?
Sorry but I don’t have an answer for that question. Please use the Forum Search and Google before you open a new thread.
How to make a screenshot?
Press 'M'+'Power'-Button. The photo will appear in 'Camera Album'.Last edited by crimson05; 04-29-2010 at 05:12 PM.

How do I upgrade the Firmware?
Place the xip.bin-file on your M8 (Main-Folder –no Subfolders). Shut down the phone. Hold the Music- (or Volume+ at SE-Version) and the Power Button. You’ll get in the Upgrade mode. Follow the instructions on the Screen.
Don’t forget to backup and make sure that your battery has enough power! All files except of the Disk-folder will be deleted.
How do I make a registry reset?
Shut down the phone. Start the phone via holding ‘M‘- and Power-Button.
Don’t forget to backup! All files except of the Disk-folder will be deleted.
Is it possible to change the OS to Android/Windows Mobile/…?
We are working on an Android-project: http://www.meizume.com/modding-devel...-meizu-m8.html
Other OS are not possible.
My M8 is chinese how can I change the language?
Have a look here: How can I change the language on the M8?
How can I make a Backup of my Phone?
Open Settings – System – Data Backup
How can I backup my GRPS settings?
Copy the file /windows/UsrConnectNode.ini to the Disk-folder before you upgrade. After you have done the upgrade just copy the file back to the Windows-folder.

Hardware
Hardware
Has the M8 WLAN/Wifi?
There are two versions of the M8 available. The official units with the blue mobile-license-stickers have no Wifi. The other version, called ‘Testunits’, has Wifi but it needs to be cracked.
The SE-version has Wifi/Wapi.
Has the M8 GPS?
No. But it is possible to connect a GPS-mouse via Bluetooth.
How do I crack WLAN/Wifi?
It is possible with a program called ‘M8Cracker’. Just start the exe-file and click ‘crack’. Another possible application is ‘M8Sprite’.
My WLAN/Wifi has gone! What to do?
Look at ‘How do I crack WLAN/Wifi?’
Is the M8 Dualband or Quadband?
The so called ‘Testunits’ are Quadband. We cannot make a definite statement about the official Units.
Is the M8 a 3G phone?
No, only EDGE.
What are the hardware specifications of the M8?
Have a look here: Meizu Mini One M8 Specifications

Applications
How can I install any Applications on my M8?
Just copy the cab-file on your M8 and click on it under ‘Documents’.
How can I delete an Application?
Hold the "door" button on desktop to enter the desktop-edit mode and drag the icon to the bin.
Where can I download Apps for the M8?
Have a look here: Meizu Me - Downloads - Meizu M8
Is it possible to run iPhone Apps on the M8?
Certainly not!
Is it possible to run Windows Mobile Apps on the M8?
Windows Mobile (up to the future version 7?) is designed to run on Windows CE 5. The M8 is running a propriety OS called Meizu OS on top of Windows CE 6.0. So most applications cannot run on the M8 unmodified.
Is Flash available for the browser?
Flash is only available in some 3rd party browsers.
Is Skype available?
No.
Is ICQ/Jabber/XMPP/GTalk/… available?
Have a look here: ICQ\Jabber for M8

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsAnd I see "Pannon GSM" instead of "pannon"... no big deal, same company but on every other phone it says "pannon", so... I think M8 is still somehow reading off the carrier name from the sim card itself. In older firmwares it used to display "pannon" but they changed something and it's this way since months...

at my phone I see "One" , but it should be "Orange" (they bought One 2 years ago
)
