M8 freezing/becoming slow

Over the past while, not sure exactly how long, my M8 has started to freeze or a few seconds when doing certain things. For example;

1. enter video mode/folder to bring up list of video files and it will freeze for about 5 - 10 seconds before showing the list
2. refresh in video mode/folder and it will freeze for about 3 - 5 seconds before bringing up the status bar. Then will freeze for about 5 seconds, with the status bar still showing, after it has updated.
3. Doing a data backup, it will freeze for about 7 - 10 seconds after bringing up the status bar before actually doing anything.
....... there could be more that I just haven't noticed yet.

I have tried clearing the registries, with no fix. I will try deleting all the video files off the phone and see if that has an effect on the video section, then I'll edit this post. If that doesn't work I will try do a reinstall of the firmware I am currently on. If that doesn't work, I will downgrade to an older firmware.

Has anyone else experienced this? I have 3 pages of icons, not full pages, on the desktop. I have a few games installed, but that shouldn't have any influence surely on this type of device.

I am currently on FW Version - 0.9.1.0

EDIT:

Ok, I deleted all but 1 video file and the loading time sped up a bit. There is still a 1 - 2 second load time that I feel was not there before. What I am leaning towards now is, that maybe this FW has been updated in such a way that it has influenced the read/load time in a very buggy bad way.

Again. has anyone else noticed this at all?

Thanks

Did you clear registry prior to updating the firmware?

I haven't noticed any of that stuff, only with opera on FW 0.9.0.5.
Maybe the 0.9.0.5 is a better option, but first wait till somebody replies who has a 0.9.1.0 FW installed. Maybe it has got to do with the firmware.

I didn't. Could that be the trouble?

My advice would be a registry reset first, and if that doesn't help, a format (from the phone).
