US Customs Brokerage holds my M8

    US Customs Brokerage holds my M8

    I ordered Meizu M8 from Shenzhen, China through eBay last Friday. It's shipped through 3-day saver UPS. Yesterday, I looked at UPS tracking information. It said:
    THE SHIPMENT IS BEING HELD BY BROKERAGE FOR REASONS BEYOND UPS' CONTROL / UPS WILL CONTACT THE SENDER AND/OR RECEIVER REGARDING THE STATUS OR DISPOSITION OF THIS PACKAGE
    It's still held in Louisville, KY. I contacted UPS international and I was told to contact the seller/shipper. I contacted her and she simply said she will contact UPS China (in Beijing time).

    I haven't been contacted by US customs. Anyone experience this situation? Am I going to be screwed by US customs by sending it back to China?

    It might have something to do with:

    1. Seller marking package as "gift" when it clearly isn't.
    or
    2. Customs staff felt it looked too similar to another, American, product.
    Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

    US customs just sent it back. The shipper shipped another M8 through EMS. It's at JFK Airport for sorting, right now.

    I learnt my lesson: never let stuff from China ship throug UPS. Use EMS.

    Did you have to pay extra shipping to get it back to China?
    If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.

    Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod Touch 4G
    Headphones: SoundMAGIC PL-50s, Auvio In-Ear Armatures, Bose QC-15s.
    Current Audio Congifuration: X-Fi Elite Pro w/LM4562 Mod -> Mission MS-50 + Boston Acoustics Subwoofer
