Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYes, with WIFI you´ll can download the unlock package. But if u want that any operator will be interested in this model, it would be better if is 3G.
(I know that, because i works into a Operator)

The first version of the M8 will not have 3G. The second version of the M8 (release date unknown) will have 3G and GPS.

Just to make things clear. Is there a 3G network in mainland China online right now? My impression was that the two(2!) operators are just starting to roll it out.

Thanked 29 Times in 16 Poststhere is supposed to be a TD-SCDMA network in some of the bigger cities connected to the olympics. i dunno if that still works, but anyway, that is not compatible with the WCDMA standard used in Europe for example...
actually i heard rumors about the chinese government wanting to skipp 3G, and go directly to developing 4G networks, but it seems like they have started to construct some WCDMA stuff recently. actually i think it's a pity, because by the time they finish it, it will be an outdated technology.略懂

hi guys,
i don´t know if it has already been said, but i wonder if the M8's touchscreen is capacitive (like the iPhone) or resistive (like most of the other smartphones).
has anybody information about that?
thx,

Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post@cpunti: Yes, the M8 has a capacitive touch screen. It was mentioned on the posters that Meizu displayed at CeBIT back in March (besides, as far as I know, resistive touch screens don't support multi touch). But now that you ask, this is a detail that isn't mentioned here in the specifications...

I have found an user manual on Meizu's site, maybe you could get some details about the M8 from it.

Lol. I'd ask my dad to go to China and get one for me if he goes there.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsNow we know more about the M8, out of interest can you just plug it in as a USB storage device and drag and drop files like you can with the M6 or do you need special software? And how do playlists work on this?

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsYou can drag and drop your files, no syncing software needed. I'm not sure about the playlist though, but I read something that you can create playlists on the phone itself... That's all I know.

Is it soooo difficult to have a specification sheet for the M8?

I don't need to be a moderator to see your IP address to confirm you're the same person. Don't try to be a smartass about it. You were banned for being an arrogant dipshit. You even read the reason, and you still don't understand.
Oh, the hypocrisy.
By the way, this is not the official Meizu forum. This is Meizu Me.
