So this "Meizu OS" operating system will be a new version based on WinCE 6, different from the current M8 which is equiped with "Mymobile" (also WinCE 6.0 based)?

Probably just an updated version that will work on the current M8, it'll probably be like the iPhone and iPhone 3G, where the firmwares work interchangeably.

This is all great news.
I am hopefull this new version will also have an expansion slot so you can add additional memory.
does anyone know if this new version will have the ability to add more memory to it?

It hasn't been confirmed yet, but for now pretty much everything is a possibility, not something that might actually be implemented in the final version.

Hello guys, I'm new.
I just wanted to say there's a guy i'm buying a Meizu M8 from and he says it's the 3g version, is this possible?
I have pics of it and can ask for more.
I think i'll just ask him about that because it seems pretty implausible that he's already got the 3g version.

Nope, it doesn't exist, you should probably stop doing business with that retailer.

He seems pretty safe to me, he has sent pictures and is willing to help me with other stuff relating to the meizu.
I just think he's sort of uninformed and doesnt know a lot about the meizu M8.

384mb RAM and 512 ROM is freaking much, how can they do that?

Maybe we would have some 'test' versions with wifi again

The huge amount of RAM frights me a bit,
cause ram uses more power then the rom, although the ram is faster then the rom.

Now according bbs and some mail communications the m8 3g is called the m8SE, and i am willing to bet that they will keep the same soc cpu (s3c6410) but just place the clocking at a higher frequence(800mhz or so),
this will give them the possibility to easily adapt the mymobile on the new m8se and then they will not need to research new hardware cause the smdk6410 they are using is capable to use 3g, gps and so on.

But i do hope that they are willing to adapt some 'new' inventions in their new phone like usb otg and tv out functions.
It will place them on a higher scale if you would imagine that you were been able to connect a keyboard/mouse through bluetooth and connect an other display for example.. it would become a mobilephone slash portable pc

I have read an article which states the hardware of M8 3G is already finished and now they are testing the software. It also said it will have two cameras, one on front, and one on the back with flash. Also JW mentioned earlier that they are planning to use a newer Samsung CPU, I believe C100 or C110 (I remember 800 Mhz or 1 Ghz)? Something like that... Hopefully it won't be hard to adapt to the new CPU

SteveMB93,
Check if T-Mobile US supports TD-SCDMA or WCDMA networks

Hmm intresting news, so there aren't any 3g test versions then?
Two camera's seems pretty pointless though, not many people do video calls, flash is intresting though.
