J.Wong talking about M8-G3 version

Actually pass 1 week JWang already leak some info on future M8-G3 version. few reply i think important for Meizu fans here, so i share what JWong said here.

(note : ) in end of JW reply is my comment.

13-May

JW:i think M8-G3 (TD) and M8-WO (wcdma) name is good.

JW: i next Generation 3G i planning use M8 name (series), and try hard to make price of M8-3G(TD-SCDMA) same with M8w(WCDMA), and TD version will launching first. (note: few month ago he said TD version will 500rmb more than wcdma)

JW: M8 3G version will built-in GPS, 5MP camera with LED flash support.

16 May

JW: Compare wit M8 G3 with M8, external design have some change, display screen more bigger, more faster CPU, More memory, more feature, more batteries capacity, body more longer, more slim, dimension is 112 x 59 x 10.5mm. (note: wow.. ...10.5mm slim)

JW: Display screen 2mm more wide, 3mm long, we make frame more slim , so body wide is same with current m8 which is 59mm (note: good news !!! )

JW: so display screen is 50mm x 75mm (2:3 ratio),and screen is 3.54 inch (note: good!!! )

JW: Resolution is same no change ....

JW: We will make TD-SCDMA version first, after that immediately make Wcdma version (note: i expected wcdma version will be late 3~6 month)

JW: Batteries cover still feel not good went unplug it, so still changing design, please give as more time, thanks. ( Note: JW ask by fans to show picture of prototype M8 G3 version)

JW: System is same, so application is compatible.

Thanks for all the translations, good to have you back here
Also the news sound very good! I have never expected they are at this stage already (body almost ready, etc...)
More memory, and faster CPU...wow...wordless.

very good news, if everything will come true, that he said.
I have my M8 now one week and I don't want to see a new Meizu coming out this year. Otherwise i will bite myself in the ass, that i spend 330€ for the "old" M8 that has lack of GPS (I always loved to have).

How will Jack manage the bigger screen, faster CPU, bigger memory, better battery with a smaller/thinner phone? The battery-technology stangnate at the moment, and no big improvements will come, so Jack will have to use a normal Li-Ion battery. If he want to operate with better CPU, bigger memory bigger screen etc, he will need a bigger/better battery. And how this should wfit in such a small frame? Or he accept the less strandy-time. I'm sceptic!

i hope its not only a tactic from meizu to make fans believe in the m8, as the new iphone comes out next month with promising new features.

This is populism. In reality everything is not as great as it is now said Mr Wong.

i think no problem for battery, just like Nokia E71, the BP-4L Li-Polymerbattery is 1500Am but dimension smaller than M8 battery. and M8 battery supplier BYD also make OEM battery for Nokia, so think meizu will make M8-3G battery around 1500mAH...

for screen is no problem.... just i hope they will use OLED screen .....for saving battery.

well...first m8 was also the first try to build a mobile phone...
the sacond time around you can avoid all the mistakes made before..so there is a realistic chance that this release date is more reliable..

but in the end..when its done, its done......lets hope this didnt take long

Oh now March 2010. CeBit again like last year

But what is about the 3G licence. Did they apply for that. Takes more than 1 year a guy from another company told me. Actualy only Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Huawei, ZTE, Nokia, Motorola, LG and Sharp are allowed to sell 3G phones with or without the 2 big providers, or? Apple is also not able.

What is with the M9 WDCMA? Will there ever be a M9. From now I do think so, or?

this phone is still going to fail, since wifi lacks on this phone!!
So the M8, will be better IMO.
It is a choice between 3G or wifi i think
When the phone is done is isnt going to be March 2010, i guess a little while longer, as many of you know/think.
Jack promised us a lot, think what he actually did with the M8
So think again!

Just my opinion
