Thanked 12 Times in 8 PostsHi and welcome to meizume,
the test-version of the m8 (with wlan / wifi) is quad-band, so i think it should work, but i'm not as good informed as some others here....
i think it's the best to wait on another anser

Thanked 1,049 Times in 391 PostsI'm not sure anymore either, but I think raangu is right, so official version (without wifi chip) is only dual-band, and the test version with wifi chip is quad-band.
I'm also not sure what frequency portugese vodafone is using...as long as it's 900/1800Mhz both models should work without problems.

I will try get some information of frequencie in our cellphones... because, i really want a meizu :X:X
LOL
Translate in google to english :X sorry the mistakes xD
"It has to do with the GSM frequencies. In Portugal, if I am not mistaken, are used to 800/1900Mhz GSM and 2100Mhz WCDMA (UMTS), however, the U.S. is no longer so. Frequency is another.
So they say that with a Content can use anywhere in the world."
Some good information here? :S i dont understand this frequencies or bands or quad bands xD
But he say , quand band works in all world :D:D:DLast edited by espinha; 05-14-2009 at 08:46 PM.

Now the site where I want to buy the Meizu, I saw and the features:
Model: M8 - 8GB (beta Wifi)
Network Bands: Dual-band, 900/1800MHz
Data Connections: WAP, GPRS, SMS (MMS may require additional software)
Wifi/Wireless LAN/WLAN: Yes (with Meizu public beta software & potentially hardware)
HAaa i dont understand... some sites say dualband others quadband
• Networking Frequency: Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz (Note: Work for all world)
I dont know if M8 is Dual or Quad...
But i know it should work in portugal:
3 hours searching and finaly i found LOL

- Optimus Telecomunicacoes S.A. - GSM 900/1800 3G/3.5G 2100(HSDPA/HSUPA)
- TMN - GSM 900/1800 3G/3.5G 2100(HSDPA/HSUPA)
- Vodafone Portugal - GSM 900/1800 3G/3.5G 2100(HSDPA/HSUPA)
- Yorn Portugal - GSM 900/1800 3G/3.5G 2100(HSDPA/HSUPA)
- Rede4 Portugal - GSM 900/1800 3G/3.5G 2100(HSDPA/HSUPA)
- Phone-ix Portugal - GSM 900/1800 3G/3.5G 2100(HSDPA/HSUPA)
