M8 - GAPI - Youtube

Hey all,

have you seen the videos on youtube, where tomb raider, quake and also rayman runs on m8!?

Rayman:

How did they do this? Is that possible with 'every' old game? Is GAPI a type of emulator, or are the games 'reprogrammed'?

i read that the games were reprogrammed, but the new GAPI is making this reprogramming much easier!

The games were not reprogrammed.

Meizu is not rich enough to reprogram them.

They can run fluently only because of new GAPI.

if i install it there isn't a desktop icon..how could i start it?

i havent tried it yet...

• but you can run the file out of Documents\Disk\..... direktly

• or you create a desktop icon and configure it with M8 Sprite..

• or try to run it out of Scumm

Could you please explain what to do ?

Wanna play AOE

I have problems starting AoE too! Machines at War started with no problems at all! I just clicked the Machines.exe file and it started, but the problem with AoE is that the aoeppc.exe file does not work!

I am looking forward to be able to play the game on my phone!

The new GAPI is not free. I have already asked the author, to make us possible to buy it via paypal, or ebay (it only costs 10rmb). Hopefully it will be done soon.

@n2ku..ok, so we need the new gapi to use the stuff i linked, right?

but what should i do with the fake_DLL ?


btw: AOE looks soooo pretty good can´t wait to play the Game ^^

Yes, that's right.

for .dll they say put it to windows (many files of .dll you know these may illegal)

first one, you need to installed LBE game assist

and if you paid they will give key.dat anf something .dll (i'm not sure) for you to run any games

for game directory, put folder to disk -> games

they say run gxloader.exe before game.exe


notice ->
installed these or run gxloader.exe may crash your old version GAPI

If you want to go back to old version just install Achibal's adventure

EDIT : These games (Tomb Raider, Quake, Rayman ...) are all orginal PPC games launched by modifyed gapi, right ? So this mean we have to buy (find via google ? ) all these apps first, nope ? No modification needed, are other software also compatible with this version of gapi ?
